absolutely love VELA!! greetings from the lovely Rosario the hostess who welcomed us and remembered us from another visit. The service is top notch! Gregario was our server and he went above and beyond our expectations!!! we enjoyed carpaccio, burrata, risotto and tiramisu. The place was nice and the food was good, but I had mentioned in the booking that it was my mums 60th birthday and that we would like to sit outside, which they agreed to but then when we arrived we were sitting inside. We waited a long time to be served and it was quite difficult to get the attention from staff sometimes as they were very busy so we had to wait for a while. It was a nice place and I would go again, but I don’t think it was very special for this occasion as my requests weren’t met.

Food was oddly uneven. We ordered the mezze platter, two appetizers, two sides, a fish to share, and dessert. My date was Greek and had a ton of context on the meal. Greek ceviche and fish roe spread were memorable stars - we ate every bite and considered getting more and I want to rave about them everywhere. Seriously. Barracuda prepared greek style and asparagus were solid, as were several of the other mezze dips, the walnut cake, and the salad. Personally, the kind of hard wheat pita was very much not for me. Overall a lovely evening on a cute patio with very attentive staff. the ceviche is worth the trip!

Quince’s menu is inspired by travels of chefs and lead partner to his favorite culinary cities, such as New Orleans, Lima, NYC, Mex. City. Quince is upscale casual. The uplifting familiar music, attentive service, and spectacular views from all 6 terraces come together to create a fun & entertaining atmosphere that is the “Quince Experience.” After helping make Quince the “#1 Rooftop Restaurant in the World” in 2020, Quince’s exec. chef, Gonzalo Martinez, is still evolving the culinary scope of its menus.

All seats are in the fresh open air with different coverages, including umbrellas, retractable awnings and hard cover. Seats have different views of SMA’s gorgeous sunsets, mountains, iconic churches and its historic Centro. The absolute best place to sit in an amazing garden full of wild birds while waiting for our table, enjoying the best peanuts, drinks and reading about the locations history and recipes. The orchid tree we sat directly across from was absolutely stunning! The service was impeccable, the food even better! I asked for their best chicken dish and the curry was out of this world. I don’t like curry at all, but at this place has a version of it that is unbelievable! The music, the decor, hotel, hacienda, etc etc etc was everything I could ever imagine of not better! Love, love, love. I will definitely stay here if I ever go back. I intended on going back for a 2nd try but our time ran out. It’s an absolute must!

This was the best “fine-dining” experience we had in Oaxaca. The food was amazing and adventurous, mixing flavors, but with supreme skill. Very attentive service and a beautiful view from their terrace. Be warned, however, that that seating option is up three flights of stairs. Otherwise, a perfect dinner

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience in this beautiful restaurant. Raul and his colleagues were attentive and friendly and they made sure we were well taken care of.
