Truly fantastic food and wine, the latter if expensive but high quality. One improvement: Wine order was out of sync with food, and the restaurant was not busy at the time. That needs fixing. Otherwise, a pretty fab experience.

About the restaurant
64 Goodge Street is a new restaurant from Woodhead Restaurant Group, which opened in early August 2023. A former travel agent in our beloved Fitzrovia (64’s older siblings Portland and Clipstone are just round the corner), we were hugely excited by the opportunity this blank slate of a site afforded us.

We’ve been able to build from the bottom up, and therefore design every inch of space to meet our hope for 64 Goodge Street. Namely, that it is a space in which guests feel utterly taken care of.

We are open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner. We very much hope to see you soon.

Outstanding dinner experience that started with our waiter, Steven, who could sell ice to penguins in Antarctica. He professed Bentley’s to really have the best fish &Chips in London, swore his kids lives on it. He went on to recommend the fish pie and seafood stew as being the best in the UK, swore his wife’s live on it. Then highly recommend the lobster spaghetti, his dog. We tried all three (3) dishes as mains with the lobster spaghetti to share. All were spot on and delicious. Highly recommend this place for quality of food but also, high end attentive service. I will be back.

We had a fantastic dining experience with friends at Kioku yesterday. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was perfect, and the wine selection was impressive. Although a bit confused at the start of our evening, the personnel made up for that later on. We were complimented with some wagyu temaki, and everything that came from the kitchen was outstanding. We're eager to return when the terrace opens. Kudos to the talented chefs!

You should feel just as comfortable popping in for a glass of home-made vermouth and some sharing plates at the bar as you should taking your time to work through the menu in the dining room.

We cook our seasonal and daily-changing menu with British produce and exceptional Italian ingredients. All of our Pasta, Pizza, desserts and Gelato are made in our kitchen fresh every day. I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Sussex for a Sunday roast, and I can confidently say it was a delightful experience! I opted for the lamb, which was succulent and bursting with flavor. Each bite melted in my mouth, making it a standout choice for the meal. The Yorkshire pudding was a spectacular feature on the plate—truly a sight to behold! It was enormous, and my friend jokingly suggested it could have come with its own plate. Despite its size, it was impressively light and fluffy, perfectly balancing the richness of the lamb without feeling too filling. To accompany my meal, I chose a Bloody Mary, which was deliciously spicy and complemented the roast beautifully. It was the perfect drink to enhance the flavors of the dish. For dessert, I indulged in a brownie that struck the right balance—rich yet not too heavy. It was the perfect ending to a lovely meal. The Sussex itself is a charming pub with great decor that adds to the ambiance. It wasn't too busy, allowing for a relaxed dining experience, and the staff members were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. If I had one minor critique, it would be that I should have asked for my food to be a bit warmer; I prefer my meals steaming hot. However, this did not detract significantly from an otherwise wonderful dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend The Sussex for anyone looking for a delicious Sunday roast in a lovely setting!

About the restaurant
Situated down a quiet side street, on the corner of elegant St Peter’s Square, The Carpenter’s Arms is an independent nineteenth-century pub with a beautiful garden where the food is the star.

We focus on simple, beautifully cooked seasonal food. Our menu and Specials Board change daily: Simply cooked sustainable fish; British meats; delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes and tempting puddings to finish. Simple dishes, big flavours.

We are just as serious about good drink as we are about good food. Our well stocked bar helps keep the relaxed and convivial spirit of a local boozer very much alive.

We operate a rotating list of guest real ales, as well as world wines from just under £30 a bottle. We also serve the only cocktails worth filling the glass for – a negroni for lunch, a martini before dinner, an Old Fashioned when you need a stiff drink, a Margarita for when you want to pretend you’re on holiday and a Bloody Mary for the morning after.

An excellent venue for first class food at reasonable London prices. Very good charming and relaxed service. Comfortable seating and very good menu choices for all with some excellent dishes and best puds ! Beware it can be noisy with the occasional large tables creating rather din but otherwise a lovely venue for a great meal at sensible prices.

About the restaurant
The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.

We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this.

We have a custom-made Josper charcoal grill which is the hottest indoor grill available and used by the best restaurants in the country. Cooking on the Josper ensures none of the natural moisture or flavour escapes from the food, whilst at the same time adding the distinct chargrilled taste.

What a wonderful restaurant to dine in during g our visit to Haworth. Great location right in the centre of it all. Food was outstanding…as a self-proclaimed ‘foodie’, I loved everything we ordered. In addition to the great food, they have some really nice house cocktails…and the wine list is super…and fairly priced. Make a reservation…this place is in high demand…deservedly so!

About the restaurant
2024: awarded 2 Michelin stars!

Trivet derives from the age-old cooking utensil - an iron tripod placed over fire to support a cooking pot or kettle - reflecting the warmth and balance which forms Head Chef Jonny Lake and Master Sommelier Isa Bal’s values for the restaurant, as well as their working relationship.

From the very beginning of the creative process, Jonny, Isa and the team think about how food and drink work together. The menu features their explorations of ingredients, dishes and drinks from around the world, inspired by the culinary history and diversity around us. The wine list is set out chronologically, following the historic beginnings of wine to present day, with over 350 wines from classic producers to the New World, as well as acknowledging the root of viti-vinoculture with wines from Georgia, Armenia and Turkey.

As well as the welcoming main dining room, Trivet has a terrace, wine bar and private dining space. Monday nights transform into the LaBombe Wine Bar.

About the restaurant
Volta do Mar is the culmination of a journey of discovery the founders - Isabel and Simon - made over many years. They traced their family-history through food and travel, learning how people and culture integrated and inter-married across continents and over distant seas. What they discovered on that journey was an idea that later became a restaurant - Volta do Mar – meaning; to return from the sea.

Our menus at Volta do Mar showcase the delicious regional cuisine of Portugal and celebrate the international culinary confluences from its trading past. We cook Portuguese classics and dishes from the countries and places along its former trade routes, touching on Brazil, Cape Verde, Angola, Mozambique, Goa, Macau and Japan. We want to celebrate the diversity and interconnection of Portuguese food and culture across the globe.
