64 Goodge Street is a new restaurant from Woodhead Restaurant Group, which opened in early August 2023. A former travel agent in our beloved Fitzrovia (64’s older siblings Portland and Clipstone are just round the corner), we were hugely excited by the opportunity this blank slate of a site afforded us.

We’ve been able to build from the bottom up, and therefore design every inch of space to meet our hope for 64 Goodge Street. Namely, that it is a space in which guests feel utterly taken care of.

We are open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner. We very much hope to see you soon.

Having walked past this restaurant for decades and always long to go in I was not disappointed. It still has the feel of Soho in the last century but with delicious modern food and a relaxed atmosphere with attentive but not intrusive staff. The drinks in particular are exceedingly good value and the food was perfect – not too fussy but interesting and just slightly more complicated than you’d ever make it home so a real treat to have out. We were delighted with the whole experience.

I’ve been to Bentleys several times in the last year. It’s very good well presented food. I like the menu - particularly the range of starters. The seafood is as good as it should be. Service is very good, attentive but not intrusive. I like the traditional ambience. I’ve only ever eaten upstairs but the bar area has banquette seating and you can sit outside too.

Just discovered this little gem in Marylebone. A small venue serving great food and an excellent wine list at reasonable ( for London) prices. I had their pork chop - served already sliced and smothered in an eclectic vegetable medley with a sumptuous sauce. Wife had the Pollock that had a seasoning I would love to learn how to replicate plus another great vegetable medley. Wait staff extremely attentive. Overall a great experience and a very welcome addition to our London restaurant preferences!

This is the first time we visited this restaurant and it far exceeded its 4.2 star rating on trip advisor. We were served by a waiter called Abdul and he was simply brilliant. The menu was simple and the food was great. We visited the restaurant early before the theatre and it was a little quiet at first, but the atmosphere was nice once a few more tables were filled. My boys of 11 and 7 years old enjoyed their food and both declared that this restaurant was the best restaurant they had ever been to. We recommend this restaurant and we will visit again when we’re next in London for a family outing.

We all enjoyed the food and the Chocolate fondant dessert was one of the best I have ever had. So light, not too rich or sweet. Lamb dishes were cooked extremely well, 3 people in our group loved them and fish mains also cooked very well. Only downside was restaurant was cold as it is winter. Staff who served us were lovely and polite led by the main waiter we had named Jonti (hope I spelt correctly). Hopefully will return later in the year and eat out on the terrace area they have.

The lamb and the trotter were lovely and the mushrooms and polenta were great to have something that wasn't meat. Me and my husband often do tasting menus and have been to a few Michelin star restaurants and I have to say this is probably the best one we've ever been to. The food was amazing, varied and of course full of flavour (we had the plant based menu which we often find has more effort into the flavourings). We had wine pairing which I'm often unsure of, as I feel rushed. This experience was not like that, the wine amount is just right, sommelier lovely and knowledgeable and it pairs perfectly. What I also have to say is, although it's Michelin star, it doesn't have the pretentiousness that often comes with it. The service was brilliant, friendly and the dishes come out on respectable plates which is all about the food and not the plate if that's makes sense! I never submit reviews but I really had to say this is a must go if you're into Michelin tasting menus and are vegan!

Amazing experience, from the welcome to leaving. We were early for our table, so asked on the off chance if we could sit slightly earlier and the team were able to pull this off for us which we really did appreciate - thank you again! The vibe was so friendly and relaxed which made our anniversary treat even more lovely as sometimes I find higher end restaurants a bit stuffy! The team were amazing, and even gave a us a printed photo of us as a memento of our date night! Food was excellent, and we wished we could have paired the wine but we couldn’t drink too much - but it’s a good reason to return ;) Brilliant evening, and the hospitality was just lovely. Story Cellar has become one of my absolute favorite spots in London. The food is fantastic—every dish is thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. The service is equally impressive, with a staff that truly knows how to make you feel welcome and taken care of. That said, the ambiance can depend on where you’re seated. On my most recent visit, I was initially placed at the low counter facing the street. While it might suit some, it wasn’t ideal for me, especially with a bad back. I mentioned it to the host, and they couldn’t have been more accommodating, quickly finding me a more comfortable spot. This level of attention and care, paired with their incredible food, is why Story Cellar is a must-visit for me every time I’m in London. It’s worth the trip, and I always look forward to returning.

This was my second visit to The Sussex,the first being two months ago.I once again can not fault the service which on both occasions I’ve found it to be efficient,friendly,warm,welcoming & knowledgeable.On this my second visit i didn’t enjoy the food quite as much as i had on my first visit.We chose the Local And Wild Set Menu,which is what i had thoroughly enjoyed on my first visit,and there was nothing wrong with any of the courses served but possibly some of the dishes were less interesting to my palate this time….But it was still a very good experience,my guest loved it,and we will definitely return. I ordered a bottle of their Nutbourne Vineyard Blush rose to enjoy with our meal and we both really enjoyed it and thought it to be excellent value.

A lovely meal in a beautiful gastropub. Took the dog, family of 5, kids meal was loved by both kids, we ordered chateaubriand but waitress said cook wasn’t happy with it so after a slight delay they brought out a porterhouse half price along with some free starters. Which were unreal. Such a lovely gesture clearly service of the highest order, everyone happy with the meal, steak seasoned to perfection. Can’t wait to return. Thank you Hawthorn staff.

A nice pub with good food. There seemed to be a lack of staff for the service so things were not top notch. The food could have been amazing but the main course was let down by slightly overcooked fish and the fish had no flavor at all which let me very disappointed. I must say the starter and dessert were fantastic and the accompaniments to the fish were really great but as the fish was meant to be the star it was a let down. They did give our two soft drinks for free but really if a restaurant is trying to be a gastro pub they need to tick all the boxes. I would go back just to see if it was an off day but I have heard similar things from other people

Volta do Mar is the culmination of a journey of discovery the founders - Isabel and Simon - made over many years. They traced their family-history through food and travel, learning how people and culture integrated and inter-married across continents and over distant seas. What they discovered on that journey was an idea that later became a restaurant - Volta do Mar – meaning; to return from the sea.

Our menus at Volta do Mar showcase the delicious regional cuisine of Portugal and celebrate the international culinary confluences from its trading past. We cook Portuguese classics and dishes from the countries and places along its former trade routes, touching on Brazil, Cape Verde, Angola, Mozambique, Goa, Macau and Japan. We want to celebrate the diversity and interconnection of Portuguese food and culture across the globe.

The dinner took about 1 hour to arrive at the table. The staff is nice and attentive but they are not prepared to serve when the restaurant is full.

Westerns Laundry is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant focusing on seafood & natural wines. The restaurant is located in the Islington/Highbury neighbourhood of North London. It opened in 2018 and is housed in a 1950's industrial building which used to be home to the largest commercial laundry in North London. It now boasts a beautiful 60 cover dining room, which opens onto an open 20 cover cobbled courtyard with olive trees as well as an intimate private dining room. Westerns Laundry has won numerous awards for excellence and originality and is a firm favourite on the London dining scene.
