Open for indoor and outdoor dining and curbside takeout. Outdoors dining is subject to the weather. We have heaters but not for all tables. Please dress warmly. If there is a chance of rain we will have to cancel.

Shiro has been named the Zagat Guide's number one restaurant and is consistently one of the highest rated establishments in the guide (#5 in 2011; #2 for service in 2013). Shiro is summed up by it's ingredients. Menu items are driven by the best available, nothing less is acceptable. For over 35 years, diners have enjoyed our French and Pacific Rim inspired menu. A tradition of fine dining with excellent, friendly service. We may supplement our menu with a special Taste of Shiro (soup or salad, meat or fish, dessert). Wed/Th. The evening's menu is posted around 3pm.

As much as we love them, we must ask that your dogs and other pets stay home. Service dogs, of course, are welcome.

The wonton ravioli and loup de mer were excellent, as was the service. So lucky to have this gem in South Pasadena. We celebrated a birthday and all truly enjoyed our dining experience. My son also enjoyed the grilled octopus appetizer - unique.

After not going there for several years after not being pleased with our first few visits after they opened, we'd read nothing but stellar reviews, so we thought we'd give it another try. We were not disappointed The quality of the food, service and the overall place was stellar! Out waiter, Thomas (a 30-yr. Veteran of many Pasadena mainstays), could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable, efficient or charming! Food was on par with the best places around town, in terms of taste, creativity, quantity and quality! We re definitely going back, and soon!

My wife had the beet salad with the fried tofu and it was refreshing and tasty. We split the guacamole and chips which was awesome. I had the tacos which I would get again but need to try other dishes like the burrito! I wish there were locations near the South Bay.

Great cocktails with knowledgeable bartenders. And then, of course, the restaurant is exquisite. On a cool evening it is just beautiful to sit near in the smaller side room near the fireplace. The petit filet mignon was absolutely perfect. And don’t miss the mushrooms. Excellent service from start to finish as well.

Italian owners, Tony Cotrufo and Enrico Fiorentini, both hail from Rome and have been serving fresh authentic Italian cuisine at their Playa Del Rey location since 1997. They offer homemade pastas, an excellent wine list, outdoor seating and daily specials.

Visited Redbird for the first time after many years driving by and seeing all the cars parked out front! Much to my amazement I can now see why… the items we ordered were extremely delicious…. The Avocado Salad is a STAR…. The Grilled Prawns exceptional… the Pork Chop as advertised was also good but wished it was served with classic Collard Greens instead of the Cabbage ( too sweet) ! Our servers were top notch and did an excellent job keeping us happy! Can’t wait to try brunch! Cheers

Our experience at Gwen was amazing. We sat at the Chefs counter which made the experience that much better! The wagyu was out of this world and cooked perfectly. The signature salad is a must and the carrots were cooked to perfection.

We thought the lobster bisque, bread bowl, steak, garlic mashed potatoes, and the sautéd asparagus were fabulous! The butter cake was excellent. Some classical piano music while we chatted and dined would have made the evening perfect, however, the DJ delivered loud, driving techno music so we had to shout to be heard. I love loud, techno but not while dining.

This is an amazing steakhouse! Definitely the single best view of LA of any steakhouse in town. The staff is second-to-none, with service to match! I enjoyed a crab cake appetizer, Filet, and truffle mashed potatoes with a glass of Daou "Soul of A Lion" Cabernet Sauvignon. This combination of ambiance, service, and food, however, comes at a pretty penny! I would honestly say budget twice what you normally would at a steakhouse. For very special occasions, though, this is the spot!

Service was very good, the only issue was dirty plates left on the table. We specifically asked for the white truffle garlic bread to be extra crispy, and it was not, in addition, it was served lukewarm. The seasonal vegetable salad was exceptional! The yellowtail crudo was very fresh, but we requested very light aleppo pepper, and it was too spicy for our taste.

The Dal Rae is the Southern California restaurant where 1950s classics still reign. Lobster Thermidor, Pepper Steak, Chateaubriand, Prime Rib, Fresh Fish, Lamb Chops, Steak Diane and Cherries Jubilee prepared tableside are among more than 100 items on a truly retro menu, complete with some of the city's best martinis. Opened in 1958, the Dal Rae has maintained its original atmosphere, too, right down to a piano bar with live entertainment. Consistent, outstanding service with a nice variety of seating options. Well curated wine list with plenty of single glass options. I wish they had some vegan cake or pie options. Prime rib, chimichurri steak, fresh oyster, pork chop, sea bass and ribeye dishes are all excellent. Oysters Rockefeller is subpar. They recently added pretzel bites in the assorted bread basket, classy!
