Went to Blackfriars for a wine an and tapas tasting night.m, it was absolutely delicious. The guide talking us through all of the different wine and why they were paired with the food was excellent and very well informed, so well educated on wine and could answer every question. Professional service from start to finish. A glass of Prosecco was a welcome start to the fixed price meal. Carefully prepared dishes were focussed and precise. The veloute was creamy, the pork belly was succulent but not fatty, the venison was tender and pink. Four (different) puddings were idiosyncratic and delicious. Just had to come to The Gather after hearing that is was due to cease trading. What an absolute shame. We love coming here for Breakfast and lunch. The best Bistro in the area. A massive loss to the community. The food is always superb quality, the service is always professional and polite. I can not stress how much of a loss this is to us and the wider community. Hopefully someday The Gather will re open and its full potential will be realised.

I am not actually vegan but my wife is and this was a fantastic option for her birthday. It's fine dining but relaxed and the staff are so well informed about all the choices on the menus. We had a lovely time and would certainly go back to see what other gastronomic masterpieces they come up with in future. It's not necessarily cheap as it's a set menu, but we had ten courses (if I counted correctly) of varying sizes and were extremely full by the end and I would say that it is very good value for the level of food and service provided. The brioche course was a particular highlight for me - as someone who doesn't live mushrooms it perhaps opened my eyes a little. Even Swede gets it's moment to shine.

This magical Edwardian building has been transformed to a beautiful bar, restaurant and private room where we hope to deliver to our customers an experience you won’t find anywhere else in Newcastle.
Join us to dine in our elegant brasserie which aims to serve classic dishes, including a generous Sunday lunch, using the very best ingredients with plenty of flavor but no fuss or in the bar for some light bites and fantastic drinks curated by a team of some of Newcastle best mixologists.
Above all we want you to relax, enjoy the music and feel at home here at Hibou Blanc.
Please note our bar operates on a walk-in only basis, and you can book our main restaurant to enjoy both our lunch and our a la carte menu. When joining for Afternoon Tea please state this in your booking notes.

Excellent vegetarian food. We had 2-3 small plates each and they were all really tasty! They come as they are cooked so it worked well that we were sharing it all. The drunken rice was particularly good. Would definitely go back. Very good value too.

Food was good especially steak night but thought t bone surcharge was high compared to ribeye or sirloin but overall good. We were near the bar and the bar and area seemed very cluttered with lots of none essential items and made the place look messy and disorganised. For a £200 dinner for 5 of us maybe a complimentary lemon cella/baileys would be appropriate. Thanks Roy

Outstanding. We had been waiting to return for a long time (logistics aligning). Well worth it. The service was really welcoming and warm. The perfect balance of attentive without being overbearing. From the 1st service to the last the whole experience is amazing. The chefs really know ingredients and how to use them. The quality of the product were local too which was a bonus too. Added to the the servers were on point knowledgeable and efficient.

Lovely greeting on arrival, staff very friendly and welcoming. Our reservation was at 4pm due to a concert so we were the only people in the restaurant for a little while. I felt a little cold but other than that the restaurant was lovely with nice background music. The food was amazing - we had.3 courses - all delicious. Staff were very attentive and suggested a great bottle of red to go with our food. we couldn’t fault anything. We will definitely return but book a later evening slot next time so there is more atmosphere. So glad we found this place. 👍🏻

We enjoyed our visit,but it was a very cold day outside and as we were sat opposite the entrance we felt cold after a while,we thoroughly enjoyed the food but the chorizo and hash browns were difficult to get out of a high sided bowl with a knife and fork. We are never disappointed and always look to try something different. For example plaice with (among others) chestnuts, Duck with turnip and rhubabrb. Both excellent. service always spot on, and on Christmas Eve they were very busy.

Amazing! We had a 9 month old baby and they were kind and accommodating, the service was especially outstanding. Food was amazing portions and loved there was no alcohol either. Our first time at the Greyhound. We both had the tasting menu which was absolutely lovely. The service is excellent, and we were looked after superbly. It was much more than a meal and more like ‘an experience’. My partner and I were amazed when we left, that we had been there for almost 4 hours. Finally, you know you’re in a place that thinks of everything when they 1. Have a presentation box with different strength reading glasses for those of us that always forget our glasses. 2. At the end of the meal, you are given a bag with 2 gift boxes with breakfast for the next day. Superb all round and we will definitely be back.

We have eaten on several occasions. Spry from the bar and restaurant being cold and my husband’s venison being lukewarm we would recommend.

With a passion for provenance, the kitchen sources food from the very best local suppliers and grow much of their own fruit and vegetables. Mark even fishes for his own crayfish and trout from the local reservoir! Cooking is modern British and menus change daily depending on what is fresh and seasonal - with the signature slow roasted pork belly, with foot long crackling, being a favourite.

From initially being greeted at the bar the service was impeccable throughout. The food was absolutely delicious and the whole evening throughly enjoyable. We have visited the White Hart numerous times, and it never disappoints.

The dining room and adjoining conservatory restaurant serves seasonal, local produce seven days a week. Shellfish when in season includes cockles, mussels and oysters from the beds at the bottom of the garden. Fish delivered to the kitchen door by the village fishermen.

Excellent dishes plus a very good and most polite and prompt service. Having asked in advance for a table by a window, we we were taken to an excellent table in a corner of the restaurant , with a splendid view over the marshes. Trinity reopened in October 2015 with the same ethos, culture and team whilst recreating a new and refreshing backdrop - retaining its sophistication and remaining a restaurant of significance in Clapham.
An alfresco dining area accommodates 16 guests, the dining room seating 40 guests that now have a clear view into an open plan kitchen with banquette seating surrounded by the soft hues of jade green and dusty heather pink.
Staying true to his style of cookery, the new menu will focus on Adam’s interpretation of great classics in a relaxed and approachable setting.
The kitchen presents a four course a la carte menu for a set price of £70 for lunch and £120 for dinner. The wine list continues to offer great value with the Chef's Cellar List (just add VAT and corkage), increasing both our quantity and quality and a overall extension to the main wine list of up to 400 bins now on display in the feature wine cellar on the ground floor.

We enjoyed another fabulous meal at ugly butterfly. Everything about the occasion was perfect. The staff were friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about the food. The description of each dish and the story that it represented made for a really great occasion. All our party felt truly pampered. Spread over two floors, this Fitzrovia-based restaurant is the brainchild of Monica Galetti who is featuring as a judge on the BBC's MasterChef The Professionals.
The restaurant itself serves a variety of traditional Pacific Island delicacies that have been delicately created by Monica and Sven our Head Chef.
Nestled above the spacious basement restaurant is the bar, managed by our Mixologist Glenn, which serves an array of delectable cocktails.
Monica's husband, David , is in charge of the Front of House at Mere with his Restaurant Manager Eugenio, and using his years of experience as an expert sommelier to create a wine selection along side his head Sommelier Alex that perfectly balances with the seasonal dishes on offer.

Housed in the old congregational chapel on Lendal, NOLA is a new Restaurant & Bar styled in a 1920s Art Deco Theme, the upstairs bar and waiting area is decorated in period mirrors and marble. Downstairs is the main restaurant, which has large leather upholstered chairs and easy banquette seating and dark wood panelling.
Our food is a mix of Cajun inspired dishes and tastes from around the globe, served on smaller plates giving the guest a chance to be more adventurous with their choices. The drinks and cocktails menu are designed to complement the extensive food menu.

Parties of 3 up to 6 people - 2 hours
Parties exceeding 7 people - 2hours 30 mins

A £5 deposit is payable on bookings of 7 or more and is payable at the time of booking. The paid deposit amount will be deducted from the final bill based on all guests being in attendance on the day, less than the booking number on the day you would lose £5 per person.

If there are any changes to your booking we require 72 hours notice prior to your booking time. If you cancel your booking with less than 72hrs notice, the deposit is non-refundable.

For Christmas Day and Valentines Day - a deposit of £10.00 will be requested for any size booking.
