We were able to snag a reservation for Spinasse about one month before our visit-even then, the times available were 5 or 9 PM. We opted for 5 PM, and were seated promptly when they opened. My husband and I ordered the Tajarin Al Ragu and it did not disappoint! Loved watched the fresh pasta in the making, and our server was fantastic. Not local to SEA, but would visit again.

About the restaurant
An understated storefront hides a coveted skyline view—just one of the many ways you could underestimate this longtime cafe on Mount Baker’s main drag. The menu, the sign—even the name—are a bit of a throwback, but current owners Guy Devillier and David Hoefer took over in 2018 and keep things attuned to today. Carbonara packs more nuance than you might expect, the slightly crackly pizza’s better than it has to be, and the bar pours lambrusco and negroni. No wonder tables are loaded with a diversity of diners.

A great place to eat some great food, a fancy, drink, and be seen! A little on the $ side, but worth it (and most plates can and should be shared to get all the flavors). A place I routinely take visitors new to Seattle (or Cap Hill).

Four friends met here for lunch yesterday. It is a wonderful spot for lunch as it has a cozy feel and is nicely decorated. We enjoyed our time, the food and our waitperson. Two of us had the house burger with fries and the other two had the grain salad with beets, butternut squash and a delightful balsamic dressing. We would definitely go here again as we felt welcomed and not rushed. One note— After Jan 1, 2025, they will no longer serve lunch or brunch☹️ and will open daily at 3:00.

Fremont
About the restaurant
We started Dragster with the idea of cultivating community in mind.

We wanted to create a place for LGBTQIA+ nightlight and events the likes of which we haven’t always been able to find in Fremont (why should Cap Hill get all the fun?).

We work hard to ensure our space is a safe and fun haven for everyone to enjoy and feel welcome. Keep an eye out for our rotating events featuring local, national, and international talent.

Beyond providing amazing shows, music, and dancing, we hope we can use our space and platform to support both the local queer and Fremont communities in a way that fosters friendships and talent while uplifting different voices.

Email us if you have an idea for a party, fundraiser, or activism event that you’d like to use the space for!

We dined outside on a hot evening and it was still hot (could have used a fan), but lovely. A group was dining at an adjacent table and their voices were very loud. Hard to hold a conversation with that going on. Food was incredible! Had three pasta dishes and they were amazing. Wine is overpriced by quite a bit. A wine that sells for $14 in the grocery was $80 at MKT. Overall, we enjoyed the evening.
