Loved everything about it! Can’t wait to go back! Definitely a special occasion place, but it doesn’t have to be. The proximity to the parks makes it somewhat regular.

About the restaurant
It’s an easy misconception that all golf course restaurants are posh or stuffy. The Tap Room on Dubsdread golf course is happily breaking that stereotype. The friendly dining area is smart yet relaxed, and it’s still a great spot for people watching as this is a favorite haunt of many local celebrities. The Tap Room’s fish tacos are possibly some of the best tacos in Orlando. There’s a diner’s choice of corn or flour tortillas, plus the sides of yellow rice and the house black beans complete the meal perfectly.

About the restaurant
El Patron is one of very few Orlando eateries to offer Artisan tacos. These are some of the best tacos in Orlando, with up to 13 different fillings that range from the authentic to the unexpected. Grilled chicken with Pico de Gallo feels pretty traditional, but then there are choices like blue shell crab in beer batter, or chorizo with white potato. Can’t decide? Mix and match for the perfect taco plate.

The restaurant enjoys awesome views across the resort, and the enormous video wall keeps sports fans happy, too. The menu is a feast of American classics, from burgers in brioche to signature steaks. The tacos are on the appetizer menu, and are the perfect way to start any meal. Choose from steak, chicken or fish, all served with a lime chili slaw and the unusual addition of smoked tomato. It’s the attention to detail that makes the difference here.

About the restaurant
Orlando locals don’t just go to the mall to shop. The Mall at Millenia is home to one of the city’s favorite spots for elevated comfort food: Earl’s Kitchen and Bar. Earl’s has a tradition of delivering great drinks and better food, and that includes some of the best tacos in Orlando. The Blackened swordfish tacos come with melting cheddar, creamed, roasted jalapenos and Pico de Gallo. It’s well worth substituting the normal fries for the house truffle fries for an even more luxurious experience.

Earls understood the assignment! From the crispy calamari to the perfectly cooked salmon, every bite was delicious. The passion fruit chili margarita was smooth, balanced and just what the night called for. The waitress was attentive without being intrusive. Kitchen service was a bit slow however, being that it was Valentine’s Day and they were busy, it’s excusable. Overall, If you’re looking for a spot that delivers on good flavors and vibes, this is it.

About the restaurant
Small plates and a buzzing atmosphere are at the core of this Lake Nona favorite. Locals know that Orlando is full of amazing fish tacos. Chroma serves not just one, but two of the best in town. The pan-seared white fish tacos have the tongue-tingling combo of onion and cilantro. The tempura fish tacos dress haddock in a light, crispy batter and serve it up in tortillas with slaw and chipotle aioli. A great showcase of Florida seafood.

About the restaurant
Just north of Lake Nona, this social and charismatic restaurant combines old-school service and ambiance with a modern and vibrant menu. Guests can watch the game with a beer or tuck into dishes like three-meat meatballs or seared tuna salad. Nona proudly serves two types of street tacos. The San Francisco Mission District tacos combine lettuce, sour cream and a choice of shrimp, fish, chicken or steak. The Baja-style switches out mango Pico de Gallo for chipotle mayo and avocado. Tons of flavor, either way.

About the restaurant
Visitors to Disney Springs have a range of dining options on offer, but few are as vibrant and exciting as Jaleo by José Andrés. Spanish flavors combine with local produce to create dishes like steak with piquillo peppers or chilled Gazpacho soup. Jose’s Taco is a real luxury dish with some sensational Spanish flair. Ibérico de bellota combines with just the right amount of caviar for something truly special. Booking recommended.

We went early (5 pm) on Valentines Day. Parking was available at this hour thankfully. The restaurant was busy and by 6 pm fully packed. Service was impeccable and the food was good. Amazing happy hour pricing even on a Friday and even on Valentine’s Day. Fresh seafood is notoriously expensive but we were able to eat delicious food and we each had a glass of wine. We escaped for less than $55 before tip. Reel Fish is noisy but we knew that from past experience. This place gets very busy on the weekends. If you can go early, the value is superb. (Happy Hour food and drinks are Tuesday thru Friday until 7 pm).

About the restaurant
Right on the edge of Little Sand Lake, Rocco’s delivers a taste of the real Mexico. They serve hundreds of varieties of tequila for late night partying, plus a range of popular street tacos. Each order is three tortillas filled with exciting choices like the Brooklyn (pork belly and salsa brava) or California fish. Swap the shells out for lettuce leaves for a lighter option. Order the guacamole and watch the team prepare it at the tableside. A real interactive experience.

About the restaurant
This vibrant chain fits right in on Orlando’s busy International Drive. It’s a mix of flavor and fun, with kids welcome and something for everyone on the menu. There’s definitely a Tex-Mex vibe running through the options on offer, including sharing guacamole, quesadillas, and plenty of tacos. For a healthier option, try the Fiesta Chicken Taco Salad. Or, for the full experience, choose from six types of taco. The steak taco uses the house secret recipe- it’s worth going just for this.
