Al Wasl
About the restaurant

Known for serving succulent Azerbaijani food, Baku Café in Al Wasl is one of the best kebab restaurants in Dubai for an unforgettable date night. The traditional Azerbaijani cooking style reflects the restaurant’s cultural roots. Diners can start with appetisers, like eggplant caviar or shakshuka. For mains, tuck into tandoor cooked meats, like lamb, beef tenderloin or chicken served with pilaf rice. Standout items on the menu include the chicken kebab and the roasted sturgeon. The bar serves soft drinks and refreshing fruit teas. Lavish, rustic decor celebrates traditional Azerbaijani heritage and gives Baku Café a romantic feel.

I am originally from Azerbaijan so very familiar with what Azeri food needs to be like. We came to this restaurant not expecting much but I really wanted to celebrate my bday there. I can honestly say that the food was the best Azerbaijani food I had outside of Azerbaijan - upon enquiring, I found out that they get the ingredients directly from the motherland. The ambience was amazing, and I strongly recommend the tomato salad, dolma (though they put a little too much black pepper in it that day for my liking, lule kebab. I wish they had the dushpere soup too. I would recommend them to add an English explanation of all dishes on the menu, as it would have helped my friends understand what to order better. But Muhammad (our waiter) was amazing with explaining everything and we are very grateful for the vegetarian potato-mushroom-onion dish we asked the kitchen to make for my veg friend. Strongly recommend this place and would return again!

Located in Dubai’s bustling business district inside the Trade Centre, Purani Dilli Restaurant Sheikh Zayed Road is one of the best Indian restaurants in Duba. Spiced kebabs, like the tundey ka kebab baby lamb skewers or the tandoori kalmi chicken kebab marinated in a cashew and green chili paste, are must-tries. Vegetarians can also enjoy a selection of kebabs, such as the bharwan mushroom or the dahi na kebab made from deep-fried yogurt and cottage cheese. Sip on an Indian beer or a gin and tonic with your meal and enjoy the lively atmosphere.

Me and my family recently dined at Purani Dilli at Sheikh Zayed branch for a special birthday celebration, and it was a memorable experience. Our server, Bibek was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. His service was exemplary, and he certainly enhanced our experience. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, and I appreciated the attention to detail in the decor. Will definitely visit again.

Name of dishes are very interesting And the presentation is even more interesting. Food taste is even better than these two. Be careful about the cost. Water bottles are priced at 33 dirhams each. We were charged for a dessert item which we did not order and the restaurant said it's on the house. partly our mistake as we did not check at the time of payment.

Really good food. Music is too louder and e-music sounds “out of context”. Service great and slowfood.
