We went for a quiet birthday lunch and had a wonderful experience. The host staff had are table ready with a wondow view, discrete birthday decor on the table wa a very nice touch. Our server Chris was very professional and knowledgable about the food drinks menu. The calamari appetizer was cooked to perfection, delicate breading and 4 tasty dips to try. The namaste salad has exposions of different flavours that compliment each other so well that you forget that it is such a healthy choice. My partner had the Lamb burger and he thoroughly enjoyed his lunch

What a kitschy and camp local Hamilton spot! Went to the Hess village location (be warned, there are two locations so make sure you show up to the right one). It was a lovely birthday dinner and not many diners so felt very private. For vibes, think jetsons meet 1960’s dinner meets a manic pixie dream girl! Plus, free dessert for the bday girl. The food was great, highly reccomend the kimchi fries x

My daughter and I visited Aura at Notre Dame, so we wanted dinner near the venue. This restaurant was lively and upscale for our first night in Montreal. We finished at Aura early, and the hostess welcomed us never even questioning our presence despite the packed dining area. We enjoyed the salmon tatare as an appetizer. My daughter devoured the steak frites as her entree, and I did the same with the lobster. To finish, we shared the crème brûlée. While the price point is high, the service and dishes are well worth it.

We had dinner and breakfast and both were excellent. Don’t let the wide open, big room feel throw you off. The food and service are excellent. It’s a bit noisy and crowded feeling but it’s fun. We are arrived at happy hour and it was very noisy & we were seated in a table which was between 2 noisy tables.. we were to leave & management moved us to a booth which was quieter and as it was our anniversary they brought a glass of bubbly and then happy hour was over, so the restaurant noise decreased.. we then ordered cocktails & dinner which was excellent. My advice is to go after 5:30 & miss happy hour.. a lovely French bistro!

It was a strange weather day with high winds and power outages. Even though the staff computer was affected Kristal called us to let us know the power was out. Then when the power was restored about 5 hours later Kristal let us know. We were seated directly and enjoyed our evening. There were a few hiccups, I’m sure it was very stressful for all the staff but everything was handled gracefully and with humour. A lovely evening.

One of my favourite restaurants in the city to go to catch up with friends. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the food exceptional and the service is typically impeccable. Our appetizer order got missed today, but they more than made up for it, with a complimentary appetizer to take home and an absolutely delicious dessert. Would not hesitate to go back or recommend. This was the first time I chose the Pois Penche for a business dinner after I read the reviews. It was also a cold day and we didn't want to walk outside for a long time especially as my visitors were out-of-town. The food was outstanding but the service was slow. One of my guests had his appetizer in front of him for at least 10 minutes if not longer before he got his wine to taste. It took another five minutes until he got a glass with the wine. We were there early and the restaurant got busier later but the waiter seemed to be chatting with his tables a lot. We also like to chat but it's much better with a glass of wine. As I said before the food was very good and I will probably come back but I hope next time the service will be better. Especially with business visitors you expect to have a perfect dinner.

Food and service did not disappoint. Servers were able to accommodate dietary restrictions and navigate the menu to best advise on food choices. Beef wellingtons are a favourite and I order in repeat and each time I am delighted.
