From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone for what would be an unforgettable meal. The dishes were not only incredibly flavorful but also visually stunning. Each plate was like a work of art, bursting with color and creativity. You could tell that the chef put immense thought and passion into his creations. Speaking of the chef, we had the opportunity to meet him, and I was so impressed by his humility and kindness. It was clear that he truly care about his craft and the experience of his guests. Our waiter, Jeremie was exceptional. With every dish, he provided thoughtful and detailed explanations that made the experience feel even more personal. It was as if the journey had already begun with his words. His warmth and enthusiasm made the evening even more enjoyable. If you're looking for not just a meal, but an experience that delights all the senses, I recommend everyone l'Ile Flottante and i would definitely put this restaurant on the Michelin list.

Bar Vendetta distinguishes itself in a space that had previously been a fairly iconic restaurant, The Black Hoof, with a beautiful (and imposing) Douglas fir ‘glass canopy’ and a completely different, 70s colour scheme, modelled (very loosely) on Jen's teen basement bedroom in Scarborough. Nothing says 70s like brown, orange and cream! We didn’t want it to scream ‘Italian restaurant’ because frankly it’s only Italian-ish, using the philosophies of Italian cooking with locally available ingredients and a strong devotion to seasonality. Our pastas all made in house, by long-time chef, Annalisa Latavo and our front of house team is simply a dream! The sort of secret treehouse-feeling back patio is hugely popular in the summer, but we think of it as the perfect restaurant for a colder evening, cozy for tucking into a beautiful plate of pasta, with one of your favourite songs playing while you have a very nice Italian red.

I had a wonderful dinner date at Bar Vendetta last night. The service was excellent—the staff was incredibly kind and attentive throughout the evening. Our food arrived at the perfect pace, allowing us to enjoy each dish without feeling rushed. Although we didn’t get to try the cocktails, the pasta and small plates were outstanding, with just the right balance of flavors and seasoning. The ambiance was fantastic—from the beautifully decorated walls to the cozy seating, every detail added to the experience. The only thing that could be improved is the music selection, which didn’t quite enhance the atmosphere as much as it could. A more curated playlist could elevate the mood even further. Overall, it's a great spot for a date or a night out, and I’d definitely come back!

We celebrated my birthday here and I am so happy I chose this restaurant. Every item of food we ordered was delicious, our server Kenny took great care of us and the ambience was wonderful. The menu was just right with the different food items offered. It was not complicated and easy to order from. I hope to revisit again and recommend it to our family and friends. My husband and I enjoyed the evening so much and I was served a chocolate cake with a lighted candle. Love the name Lapinou.

One of the best restaurants in Toronto, hands down! I’ve been twice now, and the food is absolutely top-notch. Their appetizers are out of this world—we couldn’t get enough of the focaccia and burrata; whatever they put in there is seriously addictive! The beef carpaccio and steak tartare were just as incredible. And the mains? We had to pause and take it all in because they were that good! We tried the cacio e pepe, spaghetti alla nerano, and tortellini—each one was perfection. For dessert, the tiramisu was a flawless 10/10. The service was exceptional, and we felt truly taken care of. Huge compliments to the chef and staff — we can’t wait to come back!

He and his staff prepared a delicious tasting menu with seasonal ingredients from various regions of Japan. Sitting at the counter and interacting with Chef Izutsu while he prepared the meal was a very enjoyable and memorable experience. The food and service were both excellent, and we would highly recommend Yukashi.

Incredible value, great service, great venue! The food was amazing and the server was very attentive and knowledgable. Will be returning.

We loved the ambience and finding a restaurant that was calm and easy to have conversation. That food was fantastic and loved the creative expression of the chefs. Wonderful flavour and presentation. It was also so cool that chef or sous chef came a brought a dish. The server was lovely and helpful. Would highly recommend this place!
