The Bateman Arms was built c.1750 by Sir James Bateman (Lord Mayor Of London) as a building where his Estate workers would collect on pay day. We stopped by for lunch on a Saturday with the family and the food was delicious. A good variety of food to choose from, and it all arrived hot and quickly. The restaurant was rather quiet, so the ambiance was lacking slightly, but it didn't deter from the dining experience. We would definitely recommend it to others

We came here because it was dog friendly and because of the high star reviews. As soon as we sat down the waitress came over with a dog water bowl which we didn't even have to ask for, which was a great start. We went for a three course meal with a snack to begin with and each course was as amazing as the last. Great food and service. Highly recommend.

Lovely welcome from staff and nice ambience. We requested a private room, due to some special needs and they did provide one which made the day special for our family reunion. Food delicious as one would expect from the Ludlow Food Centre. We will certainly be back.
