Welcome to The Elephant Restaurant The Elephant is a bright, informal restaurant which is situated near the beautiful Torbay harbour. It was the first restaurant in Torquay to be awarded a Michelin star which it maintains today. We aim to source all our ingredients locally and sustainably, many from our dedicated farm in Brixham. Run by chef proprietor, Simon Hulstone and his wife Katy. Food is cooked by a talented team of chefs and served by friendly, professional team of staff.Due to the style of cooking we cannot produce dairy free menus & therefore cannot provide vegan options.A deposit is required to make reservations on special days of the year, on our special events, or for tables of 6 or more. Although it was a busy Sunday lunchtime, from the moment we arrived to the time we left, the service was excellent. We ordered the roast beef and lamb with cauliflower cheese and it was all delicious. We had coffees and the affogato to finish which were all served promptly and did not disappoint. Would recommend highly and will return again very soon.

Absolute gem of a restaurant. Independent, family run small restaurant, food absolutely delicious and great service too. Views to die for as well! Go and visit!

An outstanding lunch for our Anniversary. From the moment we arrived the visit became special, the staff attention to detail was a delight and the lunch tasting menu was perfect with the accompanying wine flight. The staff were amazing - never there until they were needed but attentive and efficient around every course,then they disappeared again! Wonderful. A perfect enue that has been a delight on every visit!
