- RRandolphVIPWashington, D.C. Area •86 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe had not been to Hamilton's for several years--not for any good reason. We used to go often. Anyway, we decided to return and see how is was. The menu sounded good. The experience was excellent. We went quite early on Friday. The server was Logan, and I must say we've never had a more attentive and thoughtful server. He was excellent. The food also was excellent. The decor of the restaurant is appealing, and the overall ambience very pleasant. We definitely will be returning.More infoHamiltons' At First & MainPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Charlottesville•4.7
- GGeneVIPVirginia •57 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoIt's as if a nice little bistro from Paris was air-dropped in Charlottesville. A splendid dining experience with a superb menu, smartly chosen wine list, and a great location. Staff is just super and the chef outdid himself with the seafood offerings.More infoCafe FrankPrice: Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Charlottesville•4.7

The menu does not change very much, and what they do, they do very well. Always thoughtful service, too.More infoTenPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Charlottesville•4.8
- JJonathanWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoOur reservation was for 6:30pm but we arrived from out of town an hour early. We decided to see if we could be accommodated and the restaurant staff immediately said it wasn't a problem and seated us in their beautiful dining room upstairs. That set the tone for a wonderful dining experience. We had the bison empanada and goat cheese salad as starters and they were both delicious. The gnocchi bolognese and steak frites were perfect confort food for a cold evening. We rounded off the meal with the flourless chocolate cake--if you love dark chocolate like we do this is a standout dessert--and the mixed berry cobbler which was light and perfectly sized. Even though the restaurant filled up quite a bit while we were there, the wait staff were attentive and friendly. We came here on a friend's recommendation and will be recommending The Local to others!More infoThe LocalPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Charlottesville•4.5
