Wonderful all around! Exquisite flavors and lovely service

Great experience as always! The food is delicious. I’ve ordered something different on each visit and it’s always amazing! Only weird thing I noticed is how particular they are about seating you right at your reservation time. We always show up 5-10 minutes early and even when there are plenty of tables ready, they wait to seat us until the exact rezo time on the dot. So typically there are 4-5 parties standing in the foyer with the same rezo time waiting. Interesting they won’t seat people even a couple minutes early. Doesn’t impact my review but just something funny I have noticed each time we dine there.

I had reservations for 715. We arrived an hour early and sat at the bar and enjoyed a few cocktails. We were able to be seated early and the staff was very attentive to any need we had. I’ve always heard good things about this restaurant. The location and the ambience is one thing that will definitely bring us back.

V-Day dinner with the Bride. Sat at the bar for the first time. Great experience with Jim. Food was superb. Two special items were enjoyed: Grilled duck w/sweet pot and collard greens, Seabass with sides I cannot recall. Jim's choc chess pie for dessert. Nothing about this experience changes my belief that "the Southern" is best, finer dining restaurant in Southport.

Lucca Italian Chophouse always delivers. I am stuck on the same dish each time we visit because it’s the best gnocchi I’ve had. I only order it here. We rarely order appetizers because the portions are large and our dishes typically have an accompanying salad. We tried the arancini tonight and will be adding it to the lineup. Delicious! As always, wonderful staff, food and service. Looking forward to the summer when we get to visit more regularly.
