Jim and I went for my Birthday. It was our first time dining there. We will definitely go again. The service and ambience were outstanding. We shared the mussels which were delicious. We had the duck confit and the scallops as mains. Truly both delicious and presentation was beautiful. Bravo Gezellig!

We had a great time at this restaurant. Seating was comfortable. Drinks were excellent. The interior is very welcoming and good music in the background. We only had appetizers so I can’t judge the mains. We were all too busy talking and snacking to enjoy a full meal. Ha ha. We will be back to have a steak but I will add the presentation of each app we had was very well done. Great experience and our host and waitress were excellent.

The Linda pizza is an absolute delight. Started with the Caesar salad, followed by the pizza and then added dessert. Everything was perfect.

For a great reunion with great friends the Black Tartan Kitchen was the perfect venue! Our evening began by being warmly greeted at the front door then shown to our table, which we all agreed was the perfect location to enjoy stimulating conversation. Our meal was served in a leisurely fashion so that we never felt rushed. During the course of the meal Head Chef and Owner Ian Carswell came out several times to stop at each table for a visit. As for the food, it was amazing. One of our guests at our table had come up from Owen Sound and was in search of the perfect "Blue" steak to have with her frites and she declared that it was the best she'd ever had! Both the cream of mushroom suit and the Scott-ish pies were a big hit and you can't go wrong with any of the dessert choices! Overall the Black Tartan is outstanding and well worth visiting! You won't be disappointed!

We had an amazing experience at Mati. The food was incredible and the service was amazing. In particular, the owner was exceptional in his hospitality and making us feel welcomed and well taken care of. Will be my go to place.
