My filet was perfect for my taste at medium well. Was there for my wife’s bday and she was very happy with the food and service. I’m happy that she’s happy.

Over our stay at the Boulders, we ate dinner at all 3 of the dining venues. The Spotted Donkey was by far our favorite. There were 6 in our party and all of the food we chose was excellent. We love Mexican food and there is a ton of mediocre Mexican food out there. But the food here was all terrific. Great flavors and properly prepared. Our server, Chris, was the best. He was attentive and knowledgeable. When we asked for recommendations, he steered us right every time. One in our party has a food allergy to tomatoes and Chris had all of the necessary information and made sure we didn't have any issues. This is a pretty big deal when it comes to Mexican tomatoes and food. Finally, great Margaritas.

Server Ibrahim was terrific. Food choices were great. Salads were mostly the greens. For instance the Beet salad was large enough to share with 3 or 4 people but had maybe 1 beet cut up in the entire salad. Hard to call that a beet salad. The watermelon and burata salad again could be shared with 3 or 4 people and had less than a cup of watermelon. Almost all burata. The short ribs were dry, which was surprising as they are usually prepared in a juice or sauce and very wet and juicy. The stuffed poblano pepper was under cooked, almost like it was blanched. Finally, if you are going to pour $100+ red wine bottles you should have appropriate stemware. Serving those wines in smallish white wine glasses is just wrong.

I had the walleye and my wife had the chowder. Both wonderful. Served by Jake who was also wonderful.

My fiancé and I went there for dinner to celebrate her birthday and shared a steak dinner. The steak was the smallest one I have ever been served in my life. It was approximately 2" in diameter and way too small for one person let alone two. Probably will not be back because of the expensive cost for such a small steak. Thank You
