This is one of our favorite places to dine in Jackson. My pro tip...reserve the rooftop. It is even open in the winter albeit the outdoor area is closed. The bar upstairs is still open seating and the views are amazing even in winter. The happy hour menu is so good. 5PM - 6PM daily and features some half price menu items. I do know the menu upstairs is different from downstairs so be aware of this. If you're a Paloma kind of person, the one here is amazing. I order it with the spicy salt blend. Service is always good. Food incredible. Highly recommend it.

Delicious food and attentive service make for a wonderful experience.

I am from the South where we know a little something about "soul food." The Mangy Moose may not be like the traditional southern soul food, but it is certainly food for the soul nonetheless. Great atmosphere, speedy superb service and great bar, all in a casual, friendly environment. What's not to like? Prices are reasonable, and we got some local craft beer called the Moose is Loose or something like that, some Bison Burgers with fries and something you must try if you go because you won't find it many places...Elk stroganoff! I am telling you...food for the soul!

We visited II Villaggio Osteria on Christmas Eve and from the moment we walked in we were greeted with a pleasant and welcoming staff. The ambience was cozy, and our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of our questions and provided recommendations based on our preferences. My family unanimously agreed that it was one of the best meals that we have ever had. We started with the rosemary roasted olives and the salumi tray (mouth-watering!). For entrees we had the pappardelle alla bolognese, the 12oz dry-aged rib eye and the bucatini cacio e pepe. My husband commented that the rib-eye was one of the best that he has ever had and the accompanying mushrooms and broccolini were a perfect match for the meat. My son and I loved the pasta! It literally melted in your mouth. For dessert we had the cheesecake with oreo crust and nutella. AMAZING! Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. Highly recommend this wonderful establishment. We are visiting from Boston and wish that we could reincarnate this restaurant back at home as we would be loyal and lifelong patrons. Five stars!!!

I just stopped in a couple nights before. Once I tasted the food, I decided to come back for Christmas Eve. The food was incredible, the service was impeccable, and I would definitely eat there again.
