- LLarryVIPSan Diego •106 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe haven't been here in over a year, but it won't be long before we'll be back. The food was a wow which rarely happens in my dining experience. We like to sample a lot of different items, so we spent a lot of time on the "Bites" part of the menu, and it was all fantastic. Each item we had was very well crafted and well executed to deliver some extraordinary flavor combinations. The Oysters, Tostados, Handrolls, and Steak tartar were all highlights and not what you would normally expect for these types of dishes. the Dover Sole was very enjoyable, but it was a special so won't always be there. Not a huge wine list but well covered and you could get many nice wines by the glass that are normally reserved for by the bottle lists. I highly recommend going, we will go back very soon.More infoJuniper & IvyPrice: Expensive• Unspecified• Little Italy•4.6
- SshaniquaSan Diego •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoI am beyond satisfied with my experience. I had been waiting for a year for the chance to have this experience. So when I randomly caught an open reservation I had to take it. The food was amazing, the beef short rib was amazingly tender. I was honestly drawn to the ambience and was blown away. The snow falling at the top of the hour was a great addition. We walked the venue and took lots of pictures as well.More infoinsideOUTPrice: Expensive• Californian• Hillcrest•4.8
- JJeffSan Diego •5 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThis was my first time at Mr A’s and giving full accolades. The service was as good as it gets. Rory is a veteran server with an extensive knowledge of wine, food and decorum. The whole staff did a wonder job as well. Liked the signature Old Fashion and the wine that Rory recommended. We had oysters, caviar and the lobster fritters to start. The baguette was warm and a great complement to the starters. The entrees were all loved. I had the rack of lamb that was perfectly cooked medium rare with an amazing white bean provencal. There were many other things we would have ordered. For your special occasion (this was my daughter’s birthday), this is the place! Bravo Mr A’sMore infoMister A'sPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Downtown•4.8
- JJoelleVIPSan Diego •11 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe had a lovely new years brunch (though I do wish they actually served brunch fare). Everything was very delicious! The service, while very friendly and accommodating, got a little slow toward the end as it got busier, which is understandable. It would’ve been okay except we were in a booth that was one of two they have for parties of six but maybe six short, slim people? Pretty uncomfortable, especially in that corner spot, I spent the whole meal with my arms up over the back of the booth. I’m chubby but the rest of my party were regular sized men and one slim woman and we all felt squashed. But otherwise, a beautiful meal on a lovely day.More infoSenecaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Downtown•4.7
- KKathleenPhoenix / Arizona •5 reviews5.0Dined on 25 Dec 2024Simply put, one of the best meals I have had the privilege of enjoying! Delightful server, Calvin, was very in tune with the timing of our meal and our needs. The fixed menu was perfect for Christmas Eve, as it kept the meal flowing and decision-making to a minimum. Every course was delectable from the scallop crudo, the creamed mushrooms, and the sea bass, to the date cake with walnut ice cream! Mezcal hibiscus cocktail was creative and tasty, as well! I will definitely be back!More infoHerb & WoodPrice: Expensive• Californian• Little Italy•4.6
