- KKATHLEENSan Diego •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoTook Mom to celebrate her 92nd bday. EXCELLENT experience from beginning to end. Service by all was top-notch & the food was delicious. We had Onion Soup & Mashed Potato Soup, Beet Salad, Chix Picatta, Rib Eye, Asparagus w/Hollandaise, 3 Sauces, Mac & Cheese & wine. They nailed it w/presentation & flavor (don't miss the Bourbon Honey Butter infused w/Orange - OMG, YUM!!). Our server brought Mom a layered mousse for her bday. Lovely ambiance & little noise (Wed eve, 5pm). Price was great. I thought it would be much more. We'll definitely be back!More infoBull & Bourbon SteakhousePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• El Cajon / Lakeside•4.6
- DDianaVIPSan Diego •52 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoGood Meal, Good Price Ordered camp feast, a special with crispy shrimp & sirloin steak. It included 2 sides with each dinner plus fresh molasses bread. Steak cooked perfectly at medium-rare, 4 delicious shrimp, perfectly baked potato with butter, sour cream & chives & the freshest & crispiest green salad ever! Good discount too for good value. Look forward to my next meal there. Our waitress was super & friendly & made good suggestions. Suggested ordering steak rare so it could be adjusted to preference.More infoBlack Angus Steakhouse - El CajonPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• El Cajon / Lakeside•4.3
- VValerieSan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThe new menu, which is a combination of the next-door Sahara restaurant, is a brilliant one. Not only can we get traditional Mediterranean food, but we also get regular press box offerings, which have consistently delicious features. The Fish and Chips was a hit; it had a crisp batter and was not greasy, which is sometimes hard to find. I enjoyed the chicken skewers, which were marinated just right with lots of chunks of white meat chicken nestled on a rice dish that included plump golden raisins. The cocktails, I enjoyed the lemondrop, were delicious, and our hostess/server, Fatima, was personable, professional, and efficient. The ONLY criticism is that we need to have more martini glasses. Both my Lemon Drops were served in a champagne glass.More infoPress Box Restaurant + BarPrice: Moderate• American• Rancho San Diego•4.4

Our server, Josh, was excellent and showed a wonderful combination of being accommodating and giving us our space. It was an added positive getting to know Josh a little. He is a great server and a very personable addition to Brigantine's staff.More infoBrigantine La MesaPrice: Moderate• Seafood• La Mesa•4.9
- AAndrewSan Diego •30 reviews5.0Dined on 21 Dec 2024We had our wedding reception at this location in 1977. A lot has happened over the years. Floods have washed away parts of the golf course, buildings, and parking lots. Children and relatives have worked at the facility. Our church holds its annual Christmas party here. Needless to say, we have strong feelings about this resort and the people who work here. The breakfast menu is a bit sparse but with creative items on tap. If there's nothing to your fancy, ask; they can probably accommodate you. My favorite is the "Chicken and Waffles". All of the dishes are amazingly fresh and big enough to share. Prices are still on the cheaper side, compared to a typical breakfast out. The view of the golf course is serene, with trees, flowers and water features. You have the option of eating in the restaurant, on the back terrace or on the shady side patio adjacent to the full-service bar. The wait staff are amazing, with attentive service. It is rare to have to ask for a refill of anything. That usually only happens when there are several large family groups (be sure to reserve ahead so you won't be disappointed with a long wait). We can't say enough good things about The Red Tail. Try it.More infoRed Tail Bar & GrillPrice: Moderate• American• Crest•3
