Usually a restaurant with this kind of ambience and setting doesn't necessarily excel with the food, but everything we had was way above par, from the fried grouper sandwich to the BEST Key Lime Pie (given gratis for my birthday by our wonderful waitress). The prices were less than I would have expected for the quality of the food and the excellence of the staff and setting. I don't know why this place wasn't packed, but probably because it was the end of a holiday weekend. Celebrated my birthday there again this year. Salvatore always makes every experience there extra special. This time I tried the short ribs and gnocchi special as did half our table.
