Our experience at Mardel was, in a word, amazing. Aided by an unbelievably lovely and temperate evening, sitting outside on the ocean-facing balcony was a setup for success. Fortunately, both the food and the service more than measured up to the setting. We had a wide variety of items from both land and sea including some ceviches and tiraditos, grilled shrimp, and several unique cuts/preparations of beef, lamb, and pork (OK, it’s embarrassing to admit it was just two of us) and were immensely satisfied. I hope you’re still reading, because I saved the best for last: the service. Truly it was an amazing crew that came together to make our evening so wonderful. Special shout-out to Ulysses, who made us feel welcomed, appreciated, and so, so well served. Thank you Mardel (the staff, the chefs, the whole crew) for ensuring our Veracruz visit is one we will long look back upon with warm and fond memories!

What an amazing experience. It was Italy in Mexico. The food was top notch from wine menu to dessert. We loved it so much we went back for our last night. The owner came over to us as we were leaving and was so nice and welcoming you could see the pride he has in this establishment. I would recommend this place to anyone who truly loves real Italian food. I found it very authentic from the bread and oil to the pizza toppings and crust that was simply put perfection. Thank you for two great meals and I can’t wait to come back in June!
