Last night we had the Kale-Romaine Caesar and the Salt Coastal salads to start. I used to get the Palm hearts salad which is also very good, but since I tried the Coastal salad with its capers and radishes and lovely, light vinaigrette, I’m hooked. We had the Blackened Tuna (a special for the night), for which my husband asked for a bit of kick to the spice, after our server told us it was very mild. Turned out perfectly seasoned and was a beautiful piece of tuna. Mine was the cast iron Chilean sea bass with tomatoes- also perfect. I finished with the special dessert- pineapple upside down cake with a scoop of caramel gelato. Heaven on a plate. Also, I cannot say enough about the amazing and pleasant staff, especially our waiter (wish I could recall his name!) and everyone one else who brought and cleared plates and filled glasses. We recommend Salt to everyone we know.More infoSalt Seafood & Oyster BarPrice: Expensive• Seafood• New Brunswick•4.8
- CCathyVIPNew York City •109 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoSophie's is a true neighborhood gem! Four of us dined last night and we all enjoyed our evening. The atmosphere inside Sophies is charming and cozy. We all started with a cocktail and they bring out hot bread and fresh butter in a little ceramic cup. I love when the bread is pipping hot! We then all had salads for our 1st course. Two had the smoked salmon salad and two the beet and endive salad. All were delicious and very ample. For entrees, two had the salmon in a mustard sauce and two the Seafood Vol au vent , which is seafood in puff pastry shell. It consists of good size Salmon chunks, shrimp and scallops , beautifully presented in a cream sauce. It was delicious! I don't even like salmon and I felt it was extremely tasty! The two that had the salmon filets also loved their dish. The portions are more than adequate!! For dessert we all split the warm chocolate cake. It basically is a molten chocolate cake which is rich and delicious!!!! We practically liked the plate clean. Service was attentive but not obtrusive. I would definitely recommend Sophie's Bistro!!!!More infoSophie's BistroPrice: Expensive• French• New Brunswick•4.7
