Restaurants near Roses Park

We very much enjoyed PL8 and plan to return. The food was very good, and the service was attentive. The vibe is fun and a bit eclectic. The owner engaged with us which was a nice touch. The one thing that would help is better descriptions of the ingredients and prep in each menu item so that guests have a better idea of what they’re ordering. My husband ordered a dish he frequently chooses at other Chinese restaurants, and the prep and ingredients at PL8 were much different than what he was expecting. The dish was good, but not what he’d had in mind.

We have eaten here three times. We ordered three different meals each time. The quality of the food and preparation were excellent on all occasions. Our waiters (Paul and Caitlyn) were attentive and diligent. Welcome to the neighborhood. We are glad you are here.

Outstanding food and environment. Fish was outstanding, meat excellent, drinks supurb, environment the best. I am sick of restaurants undercooking meat to "prove" they are sophisticated. "Medium Rare is what "Rare" was 10 years ago. I like it rare to medium rare; but high end restaurants keep pushing it more rare - IMO so they aren't "judged" on being unsophisticated. It's becoming absurd today - for ALL high end restaurants lean in this direction. We need to develop a legit standard.

Absolute wonderful. I don't think I have ever been disappointed.

We went for Valentine’s day and it was pretty loud but over all it was pretty good. We got to try a bunch of wines, some are better than others for sure depending on ur taste. The best part was our waitress Brenda! She was so nice! Will return for sure.
