Great meal/experience, but despite noting in the reservation we had a birthday, no recognition of it. Oh well…

The big mistake we made was to forget to order the pasta made in the Parmesan cheese wheel. The calamari was great, the stuffed pollo was perfect and the halibut special was a little pricey (always ask how much a special cost before ordering it) but delicious.

It was our first visit to La Vista. We will definitely return. The food was delicious and substantial. The service was outstanding. It was Christmas Eve and the restaurant was very well attended with a price fix menu. The selections were varied to satisfy any preference. It was crowded but the wait staff handled it without a hitch. They were amazing and actually made our evening pleasurable to the point of wanting to return. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Baldanza at the Schoolhouse is the best! It's head and shoulders above any other restaurant in lower Fairfield County. The food is perfectly cooked and presented every time. The attention to detail is meticulous. My water glass was refilled quickly. The staff is courteous, friendly, and efficient. Last night I had the veal parmesan with homemade pasta, it was outstanding. I always share the fritto misto with fried calamari and shrimp with friends. I had the homemade carrot cake for dessert. It was moist and dense with the right amount of cream cheese frosting and dollops of homemade whipped cream om the side. My only wish is that the dining room were quieter, it's difficult to have a conversation right across the table. My vote is 4.9 stars. I love the Schoolhouse!

Continues to be the best restaurant in Ridgefield! Even when they are busy, service and food are top-notch. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, fabulous food!
