Beneath the hotel, a bank vault and offices were occupied by the Manufacturers Trust Company until 1980. Bar Primi is a pasta shop devoted to ‘primi piatti,’ the pasta course. What began as an idea for a small space in New York’s East Village has since become a downtown New York staple, housed on the Bowery for the last ten years.     It was a little tricky to find the actual restaurant because it was inside of a hotel. Otherwise it was absolutely lovely. I had a party of 7. 3 of my guests arrived early, and were seated at my reserved table immediately. Junior was our server and took wonderful care of us. We ended up staying for a few hours because it was a reunion of friends and no one rushed us out. The Host actually said he loved our groups energy and welcomed us back. We had a great time. I highly recommend!

    We’ve eaten at Carmine’s a few times now but we love eating there during this time of year. Carmine’s is the perfect spot for a festive holiday meal! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with beautiful decorations that set the holiday mood. The service is top-notch—attentive and friendly, making you feel right at home. Their family-style Italian dishes are absolutely delicious, with generous portions that are perfect for sharing. So, for being in the heart of NYC, it’s a decent value for our family. Whether it’s a holiday gathering or just a night out, Carmine’s delivers a memorable dining experience

    The overall ambiance of the restaurant was amazing! The overall look feels modern, but with Japanese inspiration. The staff was super attentive and so kind. The food was amazing, and there was not one thing we ordered that we were unsure of because it was all super delicious!

    Went for lunch on Saturday. Did not realize there would be a DJ, so it rather loud. Good weekend brunch spot for large parties, less so for two people who want to converse. Food is very good, prices not unreasonable. Close walk to Hudson Yards.
