It was a great little space with excellent food, excellent service, decent price, walkable to downtown Brenham and just really good to meet and chat over lunch!

The Republic never disappoints. The entire experience was top notch. Our waiter was the best.

Our favorite restaurant, the people that work there always treat us like family. The food and drinks are always perfect, cooked just the way we order it. Salad bar is over the top and their Picanaha is our favorite cut. Highly recommend!

Our waitress, Brooke, was absolutely wonderful! She was attentive, engaging, and made our dining experience truly enjoyable. My husband had forgotten our diaper bag, but Brooke took the time to find my phone number so she could inform us. She truly went above and beyond as our server, and I can’t emphasize that enough. The food was delicious, and the menu was incredibly fresh and diverse, offering a wide variety of delectable options to suit every taste.

Excellent fresh Red Snapper. Large, tender chicken fried steak. Good wine selection. Attentive , friendly servers. Good coffee. Not impressed with the bread pudding….just a thick solid square of bread ( cake) with bananas foster sauce. I’ll try the Key Lime pie, next time. Also…interesting location…in a field…but it works! Dress code is more casual, than dressy. Will definitely be back.
