Restaurants near Playland Amusement Park

My girlfriends and I were together for a special Christmas lunch. You know you can always count on Joe Fortes for great service and great food. There were so many choices on the menu, but we really enjoyed the Cobb salad and the way they mix it for you right at the table. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. Everything happens without you thinking about it, so it leaves you time to just enjoy your friends and the food.

We went during happy hour, ordered cocktails followed by a bottle of the Syrah-Grenache. For appetizers we shared pepperoni pizza, fried chicken, hummus with toasted sourdough and beets on a bed of whipped feta. All excellent. PS I wear hearing aids and they accommodated me by putting me us in a quieter area of the restaurant. Much appreciated.

Fantastic food and friendly service. The vegetarian sushi was awesome.

We really enjoyed our meal again. Excellent server. Nice amd warm on a rainy cold day. Noise level was quiet so we could talk easily to each other. Delicious food and wine. Love the decor. It is a warm and inviting space. Highly recommend.

We heard a lot of great things about this restaurant before we came. We did not leave disappointed! The food was very tasty, well-cooked. I liked how the servers gave us tips on how to mix the food well before we ate it or dip this in that for maximum flavour. Overall a great dining experience and we would come again.
