Since we opened this camp 25 years ago, we have focused upon fresh foods for our guests. We know it is difficult to find good meals on the road, especially if you are vegan and vegetarian, and invite you to join us.You will smell the foods before you walk in, but will see entree's like baby back pork ribs, samosas, ribeye steaks, moussaka, vegan ramen and steamed saffron mussels through our open kitchen. We make easy to assemble fresh bag lunches for the trail, and specialty lunch items for indoor and outdoor dining. Beside items like American breakfast and breakfast burritos you will find signature items like our California breakfast too! Overall fine experience with lovely folks hosting and waiting tables who gave us plenty of room for conversation without anyone too close. Cal's service was spot on despite the fact that he was quite busy, and we loved having attention from Rita, the host. Please let Rainbird know about their great staff. The food was exactly what we wanted and was prepared with obvious care.

The service was excellent. The ambiance was extraordinary. The selections for the breakfast buffet were adequate, but were lukewarm. $34 is a little pricey for just an average buffet, especially at the Ahwahnee.

The June Bug Cafe has great food at a reasonable price in a grown-up camp atmosphere which is fitting, as the whole Yosemite Bug feels like a really cool, funky summer camp in the woods, for all ages. Big portions, well made, fresh meals. We stayed at a different hotel recently and, after a disappointing breakfast at that hotel, drove to the June Bug for a great, satisfying breakfast the next morning.
