The long established tradition of Afternoon Tea has been wonderfully preserved at Ashford Castle since 1868 - you’ll notice the original silver tea set displayed in the Connaught Room, which was presented to Lord and Lady Ardilaun to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1896. With spectacular views from the comfort of the castle’s elegant interior, take your time to savour every delicious moment. The Afternoon Tea menu offers guests a wide selection of speciality teas or perhaps a glass of Champagne, delicate finger sandwiches, warm freshly baked scones with lashings of cream and home-made jam, not to mention our tasty pastries. It’s the perfect way to spend a leisurely afternoon with friends.Please note that all visitors will be directed to our car park located across the bridge and a shuttle will be provided. My wife and I enjoyed an absolute incredibly well cooked and presented dishes my meal started with the chicken lier pate o e of my go to starters and it was exceptional my wife who doesn't eat pate had a taste and I nearly had to defend it for my life lol.the main course was a wild mushroom and chicken penne in a cream parmesan sauce ,not a lover of parmesan which I informed the server of and was relayed to chef which h resulted in a culinary delight and my wife had stirred vegetables with noodles which she said was one of her best meals ever ,and as I'm chef I was jealous of the praise staff where ex Ellen will go again if I return to westport

We’ve been several times on previous visits to Ashford Castle with the same experience. The food was fantastic and the service was attentive and courteous. We will be back again tonight!

This was an amazing experience. We had a last minute adjustment to our party size (2 instead of 3) and the staff was so accommodating. They were all attentive and kind without being overbearing. The food and drinks were phenomenal, with a lovely view of the grounds. I would absolutely recommend this experience!
