During the height of farm season, the restaurant highlights dishes prepared with HiO produce utilizing the techniques and flavors inspired by Thailand and beyond. TAKOI, originally KATOI, began as a food truck in 2014, evolved into an Ann Arbor pop-up, and landed as a proper restaurant at 2520 Michigan Avenue in March of 2016. Service was wonderful! We ordered a few different things and they were all good, nothing super fantastic but nothing was bad. We loved the big shakes! The decorations inside were great. The only two things I will mention, the music was very loud and there was a bit of a wait to check in with the hostess, but it was very busy tonight. Overall a great dining experience and we will be back!

Our advice is: dont put too much effort on deciding, as everything is absolutely amazing! We've been coming here everytime we came to Detroit since 2022 and we've seen our share of new dishes everytime... and tried them. No regrets whatsoever!
