- MMeghanMontreal / Quebec •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had the most wonderful time at Le 9e! The whole staff was so kind and welcoming, (a special shout out to Daniel and the new manager for arranging a little tour of the site for us as we were very interested in the history behind the building and how the restoration came about)! It was so impressive! The food was incredible and the drinks were delicious! I can’t recommend this place enough!More infoLe 9e - Restaurant Ile de FrancePrice: Expensive• French• Downtown•4.5
- ZZoëVancouver / British Columbia •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoEvery time I eat at one of these restos (Barranco and Piel Canela), it gets added to my favourites in Montreal. Now I can add Nikkei to that list without hesitation. The food has unique flavour and texture combinations that are both new and familiar, the drinks are top notch (and aren’t shy with the alcohol content), all with artistic presentation. All staff are inviting and warm and are very knowledgeable of the menu, making it easy for us to make choices. The ambiance is awesome with a keen eye for decor (I would know, I’m a mural artist). Happy to see such a cool, classy spot in this end of Laurier! We will be back undoubtedly, especially for terrasse season.More infoNikkei MTLPrice: Expensive• Peruvian• Plateau Mont-Royal•4.6
- MmichaelNew York City •17 reviews4.0Dined on 18 Oct 2024Bungalow has essentially a classic bistro menu with some updates. Fried calamari with salad was an excellent appetizer for two people to share. It seemed fresh and well-prepared. Mains of steak (cooked exactly as requested) and navarin d'agneau (underseasoned) were perfectly fine withoug being at all distinctive. In short, exactly what I usually want from a bistro: a predictable meal of good quality ingredients, classically prepared with no surprises. On the night we were there, it was not at all crowded, so noise level was fine. But we could easily hear the conversation of a table at the other end of the restaurant, so I imagine it might be noisy when full.More infoRestaurant BungalowPrice: Expensive• Market Cuisine• Plateau Mont-Royal•4.6
