- HhowardNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe have been here before...The food is quite good and this time we had a terrific server..The gents' name is Leander and was simply a pleasure to deal with...Will ask for him again...That is for certain... One other point..They have had an issue with repairing their Cappucino machine for YEARS...It is so ridiculous that we laughed when we found out that the issue lives...For this chain to just buy a new machine is truly a disgrace. Also I am certain they lose a lot of after dinner business in regard to desserts and coffee and it leaves a bad feeling to end the dinner...More infoblack & blue Steak and Crab - AlbanyPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Albany•4.6
- RRobertNew York State •24 reviews5.0Dined on 15 Nov 2024We dined on a Thursday night in November and had a lovely meal. The food was outstanding starting with a sumptuous wedge salad and tasty shrimp cocktail. The leg of lamb was delectable and my ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. Our server was very good, although it was a little awkward when he offered to my wife for tasting, the wine that I had ordered. I wish the table had been set with a linen tablecloth - placemats are just not congruent with the otherwise elegant atmosphere. Special kudos to Brian, the manager, who immediately engaged us when the question of gluten sensitivity arose.More info1909Price: Very Expensive• American• Cooperstown•4.7
- MMicheleNew York City •10 reviews5.0Dined on 9 Nov 2024We really enjoyed our meals at Canal Side Inn. The food was excellent! Could not have been better. From interesting and fresh soup and salad choices, to well prepared and presented main courses and desserts, everything was great. The atmosphere is like taking a step back in time, with wood paneling and even a full phone booth outside the bar area. The music, tunes I remembered hearing at my grandparent's house, complemented the environment nicely. Tables were beautifully set and the service pleasant and attentive. The only thing that was a slight negative, and due to the age and location of the space, was a musty smell initially upon entering. A little bit like a grandparent's house, too! :) In no way did that impact the overall experience for us, and we will definitely be back.More infoCanal Side InnPrice: Expensive• French• Utica•4.5
