Everything would have been perfect if there were more portable heaters on the patio. The service was pleasant and efficient, the food was really good, and the music was a nice touch, but I was freezing even though the waitress put a heater near us- it’s not enough on colder days.

So pleasantly surprised! Great service, delicious food ( Chicken Fried Stk & Eggs and Salmon Power Bowl😋), very pet friendly- even having a “pup menu.” Wonderful location! Will make it a weekly trip from Carlsbad.

Went during happy hour and had a very good happy hour. The view was amazing as it overlooked the San Diego shoreline. Sat at the restaurant downstairs for 5 mins, make sure you go up some stairs so you go to the right spot bc again the views and service was better too.

I planned a special day for our dating anniversary so got a reservation after reading about Cesarina being romantic. My husband and I enjoyed every thing about the restaurant. We sat in the patio and were plenty warm with the heaters. Pleasant and helpful staff. We shared the honey glazed crispy octopus appetizer which was great. I had the vodka scampi pasta (really good). He liked the spice level of his arranbbiatissima (tomato sauce, pork, burrata) with lumachi pasta (he asked the waiter for a pasta pairing suggestion). After almost every review I read said to get the table side tiramisu, we ordered it and it was fantastic. The charcoal vanilla and dark chocolate sorbets were perfect as well. All delicious!

It takes a lot for me to be impressed on every level but I cannot say enough good things about Elvira. From the outstanding service to the knowledgeable staff to the quality of the food and drinks. Wow! We were started off by a great male (manager maybe?) who was super thorough with my food allergies and knew everything about the menu. I had: - the vegan caccio Pepe with gluten free pasta- WHICH IS HOMEMADE and so so good. The best gf pasta I’ve had in San Diego. - vegan mozzarella caprese salad was also so good for being vegan. Super fresh, flavorful tomatoes. - gluten free pizza: the crust is homemade and so realistic tasting/texture that it’s scary! Haha. I had vegan cheese also on that- you could hardly tell drinks: the Italian red wines were delicious. Also had a few drinks from the cocktail menu: the fig jam mezcal cocktail (What a COMBO! ♥️) as well as the white Negroni YUM
