Inspired by long days on the Gulf, late nights on the ranch and the colorful creations of our abuela, our family's Kitchen & Cantina showcases the rich foods and traditions we grew up with on both sides of the border. Nothing matches the flavor of food grilled over mesquite. Try wood-fired Texas quail swaddled in homemade tortillas, jalapeno rellanos stuffed with house-made chorizo and sizzling, family-style parrilladas - huge mixed platters of wild game and fresh vegetables, topped with pico de gallo and queso fresco - a unique spin on Houston barbeque. I had given up on this restaurant because of the previous manager. I had a terrible experience at Ranch Saloon at the rodeo in 2023, and I mentioned it to the mgr when I took a friend to Trattoria soon after that. He was so incredibly dismissive (as was the mgr at the Saloon) like the entire evening should have been expected because of the large crowd. Then the waitress would not let me order what I wanted from the lunch menu, and overcharged my friend and me. I’m so happy to try y’all again. The food was delicious today, and Luca was a fabulous waiter! Now I’ll be back on a regular basis with my family!
