- AAngela TarkentonVIPWashington, D.C. Area •58 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoOh my oh my! Wye Oak Tavern is beyond incredible. The setting is spectacular with the former church altar, statuary and organ pipes along with 30 foot high ceilings I’d guess? Josh, Cody and the bar staff craft incredible cocktails and create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. As for the food and service. Impeccable. Period. We had steak tartare, cheese ravioli, an 18 oz gorgeous ribeye with duck fat fries and brussels!…and pear bread pudding for dessert. Stephanie was great fun while never missing a beat during service and Steve and his wine suggestions were close to perfect. By the way their wine list is an incredible value of some stellar wines at good prices and they managed to curate the list without need of 40 pages. Thank you. Everything you need without a bunch of excess to search through. We will be back soon and grateful we live only an hour away. Oh and the Visitation Hotel is lovely and we enjoyed staying the night. Nice to have a great place in walkable Frederick!More infoWye Oak TavernPrice: Expensive• American• Frederick•4.5
- DDerekBaltimore / Maryland •1 review4.0Dined 1 day agoService was fantastic. Menu had a good selection for Valentine’s Day. All the food was great, but the “lump” crab in my seafood pasta dish was definitely not lump. I mean, sure, it says lump on the can that holds the pasteurized crab meat from another country, but it wasn’t the same lump crab used to make my wife’s crab cake order. Again, service was awesome and everything else was very good.More infoJoJo's Restaurant & Tap HousePrice: Moderate• American• Frederick•4.6
- TTimothyBaltimore / Maryland •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoRachel, our server, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The crispy eggplant with lentils and labneh was delicious. My wife who dislikes eggplant loved the flavors. After dinner, I typically desire a port, however the manager recommended two desert wines as a pairing with the Brooklyn Blackout desert. The Banyuls and Santos Vinsanto were recommended. The first sweeter than the second, but the second was a better pairing from both my wife’s and my perspectives. Each brought flavors out of the desert as shared with us. While I do like port, I appreciate someone going outside the norm to try new things. Home run! I will try this again!More infoThe Tasting RoomPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Frederick•4.7

- BBerniceWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined on 28 Dec 2024My husband and I had a fantastic time celebrating his birthday at Dragon Distillery. They went above and beyond in service (thank you Alexis!) and fulfilled my request about a slice of cake to celebrate :) They even lit a candle and watched carefully to see when they could bring it over! Conveniently, he went to the bathroom at the end of our meal and before axe throwing and they brought it over then. When he returned, he was all smiles and that made my day and our whole evening, so thank you so much to their staff! The menu and drinks were so, so fun, and we had a great time doing the random encounter (highly recommend). Their food hit the spot after our flights and the axe throwing was a good experience! Highly recommend a night at Dragon Distillery.More infoDragon DistilleryPrice: Expensive• Distillery• Frederick•4.6
