Terre Haute Brewing Company erected our beautiful Victorian Stables building in 1890. The building actually housed Clydesdale, Belgian and various other draft horses that delivered beer for the brewery. For private groups, the rear two-thirds of the upper level is our grand banquet hall. The room seats groups from 30-100. Lavish buffets or sit down meals for business dinners and programs, family gatherings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and holiday parties. With the success of Music on the Square, we began imagining what could happen next. The location next door (19 North Indiana) was up for sale, so we bought it and began thinking of what would be complementary. We started imagining Bridges as a wine bar offering interesting wines to Greencastle. But we soon added a wood burning pizza oven from Italy and more of a restaurant evolved. Ultimately, the idea of Bridges Wine Bar was born. The basement has become a private dining room called The Cellar, an open terrace area on top of the building, which will be used in nice weather, called The Rooftop, and there will be three fully furnished rental apartments which we call The Lofts at Bridges. We hope you will like our addition to the Square of Greencastle.

    We have eaten at Stables many times. Today we were there for our anniversary. Our waiter was very knowledgeable. He offered free champagne for the occasion. We refused. I ordered my normal my husband had the special. The only issue we had with the food tonight was the black and blue bites had way too much blue cheese sauce on them. Our waiter gave us a free dessert for our anniversary since we didn’t want the champagne. We will be back.

    We had a great experience! My wife had the filet and I had the pork chop, honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The real highlight was our server Devan, who was knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. I don’t know that my wine glass ever saw the bottom. Highly recommend this experience.

    Our evening was absolutely wonderful…service, food, ambience everything. My husband had the duck confit and he thought it was perfect. I had the scallops and they were the best I’ve ever had. We are planning to return and take advantage of the wine and food event in March.

    it was absolutely amazing!!! we came here to celebrate our engagement and had an amazing dessert!! The italian margarita my fiance got was delish and the moscato.. OH MY GOSH. the absolute best!!! the baked goat cheese, 10/10 so so yummy. we got the alfredo & spaghetti & meatball and it was delicious! portion size was great too! we took leftovers! our server (i can’t remember his name 🥲🥲) was amazingggg he was very welcoming and helpful when it came to ordering, he was quick and did great!! will definitely be back!
