Located in the heart of the old railroad and mining town of Minturn, the Saloon’s building dates back to 1901. During the last one hundred years it has been, at one time or another, home to various taverns, restaurants and even back room gambling for railroaders. While the last five decades have seen the development of Vail and Beaver Creek resorts just seven miles on either side of Minturn, the town’s appearance and feel retains its historic Colorado roots. Recently under new ownership, The Saloon has undergone a complete renovation and reopened in November of '23 with a fresh new menu and updated space. Always a great meal at Sweet Basil. We celebrated our anniversary last night at Sweet Basil. The food was delicious. Highly recommend the steak tarter / bone marrow and the Caesar salad, oh and the whipped feta!! For main course we had the Colorado Drum and the roasted duck - Both excellent!! Our server was very good knowledgeable about food and wine. Overall, we had a fantastic night.

This was an amazing place to have dinner while visiting Vail. The atmosphere was incredible - so many amazing presentations of food and drinks. They are SO family friendly..we came with two toddlers and still had an enjoyable time - the staff was so accommodating. Highly recommend for any families visiting Vail! We’ll be back.

Can't say enough about how great of a time we had at The Saloon! The food was fantastic, the margaritas are every bit as good as I heard they were and the service was excellent. Plus, it has such a cool vibe. The hostess, Mary, truly made our night with all of her tips for visiting the area. We will definitely be back!
