Created with skill and passion, the menu features an exciting array of seafood, streak, brunch foods, and signature items from our Executive Chef and his culinary team. This is within our historic gentlemen's social club, built-in 1907. Our spacious venue allows for individual experiences in various spaces, including our rooftop terrace. The Tarratine provides a variety of spirits, cocktails, local brews on tap, and an approachable wine list. Jordan Pond House, a restaurant and shop with a long tradition within Acadia National Park, sits on a hill overlooking a beautiful lawn along the Jordan Pond. Guests have been enjoying these amazing views and dining at this site since 1893 when Nellie McIntire, the first proprietor, started baking and serving her famous popovers out of the restaurant. Ever since then, we have been serving popovers and tea.Please note: Reservations may be made for inside dining only. Due to weather variability, we are unable to accommodate reservations for the lawn.     Our experience with your restaurant was outstanding. We will be back for sure. The food was delicious. Olivia was a great server. Bob the owner was fantastic. He took us upstairs and gave us a tour and the history of the place. He even made sure to turn the pinball machine on for us. Great experience, great food and great service! Thank you!

    This was a date night/staycation with my husband. And we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were surprised by the menu and how effortlessly it flowed. 100% would recommend to anyone willing to try something new and quiet!

    We recently had the pleasure of dining at Kanu, to celebrate a good friend’s birthday, and it was an excellent experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting with an upscale decor. The food was beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's exceptional skill and attention to detail, and most importantly- delicious! The service was prompt and courteous taking care to address any questions and making us feel valued as guests. I would like to give special recognition to the chef who provided service that went above and beyond. Based on my notes when making the reservation, he took the time to research the sourcing of certain food to ensure specific dietary needs were considered. It's rare to find such a commitment to guest satisfaction and it truly elevated our dining experience. We are already looking forward to a return visit!

    It took a month to get in and it was worth it. I had frequented the pond house when I was young (35 yrs ago) and I had been wanting to get back. It was as good as I remember. Staff got us in earlier than our reservation time, waitstaff were friendly and welcoming and the popovers and jam are the best I’ve had! Definitely worth the visit/experience.

    We traveled over five hours from Massachusetts to check out a local college and stayed overnight in Bangor. My nephew loves BWW and it was a great time to relax with him after a long day. The food was perfect and the wait staff was great. Highly recommended
