Restaurants near McCullom Lake

I have Celiac Disease so getting the opportunity to go to a restaurant like 1776 is amazing, but beyond that, it is an outstanding restaurant in every way without even considering that all their fantasicly fabulous dishes are 100% gluten free, and prepared in a 100% gluten free kitchen and restaurant. It would no doubt be a special dinner every time for anyone at 1776, but for someone with Celiac's Disease, it is culinary heaven on earth. On top of all that, the people are wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable, the presentation is superb, and the service is top notch. It has instantly become my new favorite restaurant, by a long shot. Thank you 1776!

Everything was great. We were early for our reservation and they seated us ahead of time. Our server Jennifer was great. Answered any questions we had about the menu. Food was amazing. I am pretty picky, but have to say, couldn't really find anything to complain about haha. We will definitely go back.

Yesterday I wrote a negative review about an experience at Perry's in Oakbrook, but today it's a glowing positive review about the Vernon Hills location, where we dined last night with friends. This might be the first time I've ever gone to the same restaurant (but two different locations) on back to back nights, and it is amazing how the dinners were so different. The Vernon Hills location was busy upon our arrival, and totally packed by the time we left. The ambience and service were far superior to the Oakbrook experience. I had the pork chop and it was beyond amazing...way more than I could eat in one serving, and even though I shared it with others at the table, I still had a full meal left to take home. Our server was spectacular, helpful and knowledgable, personable, and had the knack for being there when we wanted/needed him, but other than that he was off working with other tables. I Considering all the positive reviews I've heard about Perry's, I'd be willing to chalk up the poor experience in Oakbrook as possibly just an off night during the Christmas rush season, but the Vernon Hills manager deserves a gold star for excellence, because the place was absolutely packed and the service team was well choreographed. My only complaint about the Vernon Hills location is the tiny parking lot...nowhere near big enough (aren't there zoning requirements for parking?). We had to park across the street on top of a large hill, and when the weather turned (as it inevitably will), it's going to be dangerous to make the trek from the parking lot.

Had another fabulous Wine Tasting experience with Deena. She just makes you feel so special and she’s so attentive. I purposely brought my friend here to share the experience. They were very accommodating when we went over our dinner reservation time and then the mahi-mahi was fabulous!

Delicious!! We’ve never had a bad meal here. One of our favorite places to dine out.
