- OTOpenTable DinerWashington, D.C. Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe had not been back to Red Ash since before the Pandemic. Shame on us! Now we certainly will make a new reservation as soon as possible, which will probably be a few months from now. Red Ash is so popular that it is that difficult to get a table. But the wait is certainly worth it. This evening we tried the Octopus a la Plancha at our server, Emma's suggestion. Octopus for our first time. It was wonderfully delicious and tender. For dinner we split Frutti di Mare, a wonderful selection of seafood laid on a bed of the best black and white sphagettini. Cooked perfectly! Emma was the perfect hostess and we were able to reconnect with Brand Favata, our favorite server from six years ago. It seems that very few few employees leave Red Ash. It is such a wonderful restaurant!! We'll be back very soon.More infoRed Ash ItaliaPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Downtown•4.9
- TTerrenceAustin •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoA Standout Dining Experience at Nido Hands down, this was our best dining experience in Austin in a very long time. Many trendy spots haven’t quite lived up to the hype in terms of quality, value, and service—but Nido exceeded expectations on every level. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and personable. Our server, Holden, was an absolute gem, making the evening even more enjoyable. Every dish we tried was a flavor explosion—from the Gem Lettuce and Crystal Blue Prawn to the Lamb Ragu and Jerk Chicken. The portions were generous, making for an excellent value. Austin’s restaurant scene is constantly evolving, so we rarely revisit places, but Nido is an exception—we’ll be back soon! We even laughed about how this incredible meal took place on the site of a former Taco Cabana—a fun little reminder of how much the city continues to change. If you’re looking for a dining experience that truly delivers on food, service, and value, Nido is a must-visit.More infoNidoPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Bouldin Creek•4.7

The Cocktails are stellar, especially the Blood and Smoke! My favorite destination for out of town guests for an excellent Austin experience.More infoEl Alma Cafe y CantinaPrice: Moderate• Mexican• Downtown•4.8
