The original structure was built in the late 1800s and called the Central Tea, Coffee and Butter Depot. In 1908, a fire devastated the space and it was transformed into a full service grocery store. Later it was most notably a fine foods and butcher shop, VonderHaar’s Fine Foods until 1982. When La Petite Grocery opened in March of 2004, they similarly aspired to provide the neighborhood with exotic teas, locally roasted coffee, and fresh produce. My wife, son, and I visited while on vacation for our 15th anniversary (wife and I of course, son is 5). Food was amazing and the staff were great. The history of the Bananas Foster makes the sugary dish even better… a must visit when in New Orleans.

Service great from the moment we walked in. Enjoyed every bite. My barracuda was slightly over cooked but nothing disappointing and the sauces that accompanied it with the sides were outstanding. Had a great experience, and a place I would definitely recommend in the French Quarter.

Our evening was amazing! Chuck, our server, was terrific! He is an asset to the restaurant and made our experience at Antoine’s SO special! He enlightened us with restaurant history, made us laugh and he took the time to explain the dishes that make Antoine’s so unique. This establishment is a such a gem! Thank you for making my husbands birthday so memerable.

Had a business dinner and had to change my reservation count at the last minute. No problem! Food was great! Service was great! Heather was our server and had some great recommendations and was very personable adding to our great experience. Will eat here again when I come back to New Orleans!
