We know the word "fusion" has been wielded about to justify everything from Hula Burgers to Mexican lasagna. But the East-meets-South brand of fusion happening at Poor Calvin's? It's creative; it's innovative; and it's probably unlike anything you've tasted in the ATL. After working in kitchens around the world, Calvin Phan wanted to shake things up a little. And so, into the mac 'n cheese, the Thai spices went. Now, Calvin's giving Southern staples, like sea bass and fried chicken, a decidedly creative Asian-inspired twist (and a nip of spice, too). He has created innovative dishes, approached in much the same way, leave the hands of Calvin Phan day in and day out. His dedication and attention to detail are evident in each dish and dessert. You won't be disappointed.*Last seating 1 hour before close*

Excellent service and fantastic food. At peak times it does get quite loud in the dining room depending on where you are sitting but that’s life for a popular spot. For just 2 people getting drinks, apps, and dinner it was about $200. My only complaint is that is a bit steep but on the other hand we loved everything we ordered and were pleased with the service. Our waters were always full, our server was knowledgable, friendly, and attentive, the bar kindly remade my drink when the first was too sweet for me, and as I said our meals were delicious!

Celebrated my birthday here and it was so great! Everything was 5 stars. We had the arancini and baked crab dip for appetizers, chimichurri steak and scallops for dinner and strawberry shortcake dessert. Recommend everything. Our server was also great and brought me a glass of champagne on the house for my birthday. I’ve been for brunch too and that is also great. Can’t wait to be back. So many things on the menu look delicious.

It is a great neighborhood location that has just the right balance of comfort food (meatloaf, pork chops, seafood, and pasta) with a step of higher class. Priced within means to enjoy a nice meal and glass of wine (or cocktail). A favorite

9 Mile Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The menu is a delightful blend of creative dishes, each bursting with fresh flavors and beautifully presented. I particularly loved the charred chicken leg which was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Every bite felt like a symphony of taste! The service was equally outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest has a great experience. Whether you’re looking for a cozy dinner spot, a place to celebrate a special occasion, or just incredible food, 9 Mile Restaurant is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their amazing menu! 5/5 stars!
