When we were dreaming dreams and drawing drawings of our brand new clubhouse, we wanted to create something that goes far beyond your typical golf course restaurant.The Grille was always intended, and indeed is, a place where family, friends, residents, neighbors and the entire Richmond community can come together and enjoy each other’s company.     Friends and I went to The Boathouse to celebrate their move to VA and the closing on their new home. When the manager learned this, she brought our table complimentary champagne to start the evening!! It was an awesome and warm welcome for my friends!! We had a delicious dinner, never felt rushed and overall, had a great night.

    The chicken entree is delicious. We shared that with the brussel sprouts side which was a bit different (potatoes and raisins mixed in) and also delicious. Appetizers (wedge salad and fried green tomatoes) were so-so. Too much iceberg lettuce for the salad. Service may be spotty, but the team is clearly trying hard. The manager stopped by and talked for a while which was nice and personable. The restaurant was full which was nice to see (particularly with the snow forecast). Hoping for the best for Shirleys!

    Fabulous! From the Service, Ambience and Food! OMG the Food! Sweet potato waffles and 3 gorgeous tasty perfection chicken wings fried! Egg Vegetable scramble! Gracious the portions! The perfection of the taste in this hidden Colonial Heights gem! No matter the distance just go just go and eat for yourself!! The menu is so delectable a decision is difficult but whatever you choose the portion will be large and delicious!
