We currently offer in-house dining Tuesday through Sunday from 4:30-10:00pm (last dinner seating is at 9:30). Takeout is no longer available at this time. Patio dining is available Memorial Day weekend through September and always subject to weather. Please call us directly to reserve a patio table, but keep in mind that of the six 4-tops available outside, three are kept for walk-ins only.Our restaurant features Paolo Laboa, international chef from Genova, Italy. A couple notes about the Taverna-We stop taking day of reservations after 4pm. Please call the restaurant after 4pm.We do not accept parties of 4 people or more. We are a small restaurant with only 22 seats and cannot accommodate larger parties. Established in April of 2015, The Taverna serves authentic Greek fare while remaining true to our Greek roots. Our menu highlights what is available to us locally and seasonally. Our wine list is one of the largest all Greek wine lists in the United States which features natural, orange and organic wines.     I want to move to Portland just so I can frequent The Lucky Cheetah. The decor was stunning and the seating was so comfortable. The ambience itself was just perfect. The playlist was something I would’ve personally picked. The Jaded Lover cocktail was so delicious and refreshing. We loved every single bite we had, but our favorite was the sesame beef bao. The oxtail noodles were absolutely delicious (although I had never had oxtail and was intimidated but so glad I tried). Not to mention we were 20 minutes late for our reservation due to traveling and the hostess was so understanding and helpful. Our server had great recommendations as well. We can’t wait to come back 🍀🐆

    I'll keep this review short and sweet. This is by far one of our favorite restaurants in Maine. We recently celebrated a big anniversary with friends and we hadn't been in many years. It exceeded our expectations. Clearly the owner and chef (and staff) care about this establishment as it is evident in all aspects of the dinner. From greeting, service, to the food (exceptional), the evening was special. We cannot wait to go back again. I can't really recommend this place enough. All of the food we had was amazing.
