Restaurants near Kaiser Park

The Mountain room is coming back from near demise post covid but it is not quite all the way back. A somewhat limited menu from before but the food and service was good. I heard a waiter tell a guest "we did not get any mashed potatoes today"

Amazing dinner and drinks ! I ordered the ciopino over Rice instead of pasta . Sooo good !

We always make it a point to eat here every time we come to mammoth to ski. Our waiters and waitresses are always super friendly and helpful. Shout out to Briana who was our waitress on thanksgiving, you were fantastic thank you!

Our meal was extremely good - as was the service. My only concern was with the bill. The customer receipt only had the total bill and "recommended tipping" percentages. I added a decent tip and signed the receipt. We were talking about the bill - and I said it seemed higher than i expected - so we looked at the other copy of the bill - the one with the breakdown. It had a very small line that said 20% banquet fee had been added to the total. This meant that the wait staff got a nearly 40% tip from me. ..which was not what I intended to do.

The dining room is a magnificent hall. The surrounding view is breathtaking, especially in the daylight for breakfast. Our servers were great. The hotel is in the midst of some construction, so the main kitchen has not reopened yet. Therefore all meals are buffet. That is why I gave the food 4 stars. For buffet food was good and plentiful, but I will come back another time to order off the menu for the 5 star food experience. The experience over all was worth it.
