Our menu represents Chef Michael's Blackie’s best food memories, which span over his 35 plus international career Chef worked in Asia, Latin America and is an expat from the UK. His food style can best be described as a balance between Canadian roots with a strong influence in both Asian, Latin and European cuisines.     Dinner was fantastic! Chris, our waiter, was attentive and thoughtful. He took great care of us, and as we were celebrating my husband's birthday early, they were kind enough to bring dessert (on the house) with a birthday card.Everything was top-notch. The food was delicious, the drinks were perfect!

    The dining experience at Black Tartan Kitchen is simply exceptional. From the food (amazing), the presentation, wine pairings, service, and ambiance, all aspects of this restaurant are outstanding. Chef Ian takes the time to describe each course and almost everything is locally sourced so you are supporting businesses and families in the community. Ian also takes the time to visit each table to ask about your dining experience. The Black Tartan is Carleton Place’s hidden gem, and we absolutely love dining there. This is a must if you appreciate great food and fine dining at its best!!
