Restaurants near Indianapolis Masonic Temple

Thanksgiving meal at FDC was wonderful! We started with a nice Mexican Cabernet that was a perfect pairing with the Sirloin we would later be served. We also had the fabulous salad bar filled with so many choices of vegetables, cheeses, fruits, but my favorite was the tomato, basil & mozzarella salad w/vinaigrette. Perfectly soft mozzarella!! We then stepped to the Thanksgiving table to have Sweet Potato casserole, Stuffing, white rice and Turkey breast! All scrumptious! Returning to our seat the gauchos served us bacon wrapped sirloin, lamb, pork, and perfect medium sirloin! Tasty!! Again, the Cabernet wine was so nice with the meal! The restaurant was very crowded and noisy but we enjoyed our visit!

Wasn’t sure what to expect, was afraid that this fine dining restaurant would be way out of my comfort zone, but I was thoroughly impressed. 12/10. Because of the holiday and Pacers game, the crowd was extremely light which made for a personal and cozy experience. Food was delectable! Astounding. 10 oz steak was so thick that it was maybe a bit rare in the middle for a medium rare, but the flavor and juice was of such high quality, all was good. Mac & Cheese? Incredible. A friend in the group said her Dirty Martini was impeccable. She and my wife loved the Caesar salad twist. AND, the anniversary dessert and raspberry cocktail were the perfect complimentary special treat! Then, we popped down to Mel’s after for some live jazz and cocktails. Honestly, a really neat experience overall. Can’t wait to return to celebrate other special events.

Wonderful food and delightful service. The shrimp cocktail is well overpriced for 4 shrimp...the seafood pasta was a bargain, as was the flatiron steak...and both were delicious...
