The Depot Restaurant - Seaview features casual fine dining offering a Chef's Table to watch owner Chef Michael Lalewicz perform his magic from a display kitchen. The covered heated deck adds outdoor seating. A northwest and international wine list offers 16 wines by the glass, five microbrews and a hard cider on-tap. This 132 year old train station from the peninsula's Clamshell Railroad feels like a French Bistro especially when seated at the 9 seat counter reminding one of the Orient Express.     The food was delicious. Two of us had pan fried oysters and they were spot on. The serving size was ample for the price and well prepared. One of us had the salmon special and said it was excellent. Our fourth had the scallop dish and would order it again. All and all a great experience. Our server Elaine was friendly, timely and helpful.

    The server and the trainee were very nice and efficient. The food is always good and the restaurant location is perfect for us. We were disappointed to find out when we got here “not when we made the reservation” they were not serving breakfast. Not that previous notification about no breakfast would have changed our plans to visit but we would have made breakfast plans in advance. Full disclosure means no surprises and/or disappointment.

    Excellent restaurant in every respect; food, service, decor, you name it. This is a genuine diamond in the rough. I will never understand how a small town restaurant can find such talented kitchen staff. Pretty amazing. You won't be disappointed.
