We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant from the speakeasy type entrance to the superb cocktails, excellent food and friendly service. The atmosphere is warm and mysterious. We enjoyed sharing the calamari as an appetizer followed by the pasta with pork/veal ragu sauce that is beyond description. As a main course we thankfully shared a delicious veal Milanese in bolognese which could have fed three. Best restaurant in Sydney by far.

We were a group of long time friends having a catch up hightea. The food was scrumptious and the scones were the best we have ever had. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Decor was so pretty. We all had a wonderful time and highly recommend it.

The Crab linguine was spectacular. Spicy with chilli but so tasty. My partner loved the ragu papadelle. The puffy bread dipped in oil and with prosciutto is fantastic. My partner loved the classic margaritas and I had a good bottled stone and wood beer. The service staff gave us free complimentary lemon alcohol drink possibly limoncello as our mains took a little long to come out but we didn’t mind the wait after we discovered how delicious it was. I’ll be honest the bill was expensive but I think it was worth it.

Valentines Day at the Bayview Hotel was lovely! Being from Sydney, we wanted to escape the chaos of Valentines Day and the Bayview Hotel was the perfect spot. Ambient, great food, amazing service and great value. We will definitely return!

Valentines Day lunch at La Gioia, we had the ragu di manzo, rigatoni con pistachio, caprese salad and the fennel, gorgonzola salad. Excellent presentation of all meals, generous servings and great service. Very enjoyable experience and we both left the restaurant very full. Highly recommend
