Astoria Grill Alexander Pierce meets Carrabba’s Italian Grill; we’ve been waiting for this restaurant to open for some time, it was worth the wait. Seems like they kept a good portion of the Brown Derby’s infrastructure but gave it a bit of a facelift. The atmosphere is more casual than AP and the prices more in line with the Grill concept. The service was outstanding and we were greeted by the manager twice, very nice touch. Calamari appetizer was very nice, crispy coating and tender pieces, the marinara was good but the jalapeño sauce was bold, good but spicy. They serve bread with the salad, my only suggestion would be herbed olive oil in a bowl, not on the bread, it makes for greasy fingers trying to pull apart the bread. Otherwise, it’s quite good. The filet we got was outstanding, my wife’s comment, “one of the best steaks I’ve ever had in a restaurant” a perfect med rare and seasoned very nicely. Risotto was spot on with a nice al dente texture and cheesy flavor. Carbonara was very decadent, good flavors and hefty portion. We finished with tiramisu, again, very nice, absolutely no complaints. We’ll be back, it’s nice, affordable and great date night kinda place.

Server Kathy was " just right", not annoying but available. The food is always good. The quiet booth was perfect for the two of us as we celebrated a birthday. The recommended wine was tasty: as was the Manhattan. A vey enjoyable 75th birthday dinner for my wife!

Always a great place to dine. Tried the new chicken black rice bowl at lunch and it was so good. Service is prompt and friendly and the servers are always helpful with dining recommendations.

Cute concept and place. Would be great for a small group dinner. The walleye was honestly some of the best I have had anywhere. Generous portions too. Server was excellent. Nice for the holiday!

The employees there are so friendly and helpful. The manager helped us when my son lost his watch and was so nice. We love the food and the fun!
